Publication: Centaurea kilaea Boiss. ve C. consanguinea DC. (Compositae / Asteraceae) endemik türlerinin autekolojik özelliklerinin karşılaştırılması
Abstract
Comparison of Autecological Characteristics of Centaurea kilaea Boiss. and C. consanguinea DC. (Compositae / Asteraceae) Endemic Species This autecological study was realized between 2009-2011 on Centaurea kilaea Boiss. and C. consanguinea DC. that members the Asteraceae family and we aimed to find out the bioclimatic, edaphic, topographic, biotic etc. characteristics of the habitats they distribute. In addition, we aimed to explore the plant-soil relations and seed fertility. Various analysis were realized by following the Scheibler method, Wet-digestion method, Kjeldahl method and Olsen method by using Calcimeter, Spectrophotometer, Flame photometer and ICP apparatus during study. It was found out that; the N amount is between 0.007 % and 0.2 %, P 0.0007 % and 0.001 %, K 0.001 % and 0.01 %, Na 0.0001 % and 0.0002 % in the soils C. kilaea distributes whilst N amount is 2.17 %, P 0.005 %, K 0.1 %, Na 0.006 % in the plant body. On the other hand, it determined; the N amount is between 0.01 % and 0.007 %, P 0.0008 % and 0.001 %, K 0.01 % and 0.09 %, Na 0.0002 % and 0.0003 % in the soils C. consanguinea distributes whilst N amount is 2.25 %, P 0.0068 %, K 0.07 %, Na 0.02 % in the plant body. The germination ratios of the seeds depending on the various factors were fixed and they were found out that the germination ratios depending on time of Centaurea kilaea and C. consanguinea decrease towards the end of sixth months whilst these ratios increase again in the seeds left in the refrigerator in + 4 ºC. All of the results obtained were considered together the results obtained in the other autecological studies on the other taxa of Centaurea genus in Turkey and the results in the other autecological studies on the various genera and these results were commended. In addition some suggestions were brought for protection and development of the populations of both of endemic plants.
