Publication: Türkiye’deki Y kuşağı mensubu bireylerin siber zorbalık ve siber mağduriyet algıları : bir alan çalışması
Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı Türkiye’deki Y kuşağı mensubu bireylerin siber zorbalık ve siber mağduriyet algılarını ve buna yönelik farkındalıklarını ortaya koymaktır. Bununla birlikte bireylerin siber zorbalık, siber mağduriyet ve farkındalıkla ilgili duyarlıklarının cinsiyet, yaş, sosyoekonomik düzey, günlük internet kullanım süresi, internet kullanım amacı, sosyal ağ kullanımı, aile ve eğitim gibi demografik değişkenlere göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada katılımcılara internet aracılığıyla “Kişisel Bilgi Formu”, “Revize Edilmiş Siber Zorbalık Envanteri”, “Siber Mağduriyet Envanteri” ve “Siber Zorbalığa İlişkin Duyarlık Ölçeği” anketleri yönlendirilmiştir. Anketlere toplamda 244 kişi katılım göstermiştir. Anketler doğrultusunda elde edilen veriler IBM SPSS Statistics 27 programında analiz edilmiş ve bulgular yorumlanmıştır. Bulgular sonucunda siber zorbalık farkındalığı ile mağdur olma ve siber zorbalık arasında pozitif ve düşük düzeyde ilişki, siber zorbalık ve mağdur olma arasında pozitif ve orta düzeyde ilişki çıkmıştır. Katılımcıların siber zorbalık davranışları, cinsiyet, yaş ve baba eğitim durumuna göre farklılaşma gösterirken; siber zorbalığa maruz kalma durumları yaş, anne eğitim durumu, baba eğitim durumu ve sahip olunan sosyal ağ sayısına göre farklılaşmıştır. Ayrıca, siber zorbalık farkındalığı sadece anne eğitim durumuna göre farklılaşmıştır.
The aim of this research is to reveal the perceptions and awareness of cyberbullying and cyber victimization among individuals who belong to the Y generation in Turkey. Additionally, the study aims to examine whether individuals' sensitivity towards cyberbullying, cyber victimization, and awareness differ based on demographic variables such as gender, age, socio-economic level, daily internet usage duration, internet usage purpose, social media usage, family, and education. In the study, participants were directed to the Personal Information Form, Revised Cyberbullying Inventory, Cyber Victimization Inventory, and Sensitivity Scale for Cyberbullying surveys through the internet. A total of 244 people participated in the surveys. The data obtained from the surveys were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 27 software and the findings were interpreted. As a result of the study, a positive and low-level relationship was found between cyberbullying awareness and victimization and cyberbullying. A positive and moderate-level relationship was also found between cyberbullying and victimization. Participants' cyberbullying behaviors differed according to gender, age, and father's education level, while their exposure to cyberbullying varied based on age, mother's education level, father's education level, and number of social media accounts. In addition, cyberbullying awareness varied only according to the mother's education level.
