Yer Üzerine: Felsefi Hermenötik Bir Yaklaşım

Abstract

Bu çalışma, coğrafyanın en temel kavramlarından biri olan yeri (place) ele almaktadır.Son yıllarda coğrafi disiplinde mekân (space) ana kavram haline gelmişse deyer önemli bir kavram olarak varlığını sürdürmektedir. Yer, bizim anlam verdiğimizve aynı zamanda anlam bulduğumuz bir olgudur. Yeri dikkate almayan coğrafi analizlerdoyurucu olmayacağı gibi eksik kalacaktır. Zira yaşamımız, yer ile birlikte varolmaktadır. Yer ve insan birbirinden ayrı bir şekilde varlığını sürdürmemektedir. Herikisi de birbirinin içine gömülerek varlıklarını devam ettirmektedir. Çalışmada yerianlamak ve yorumlamak için felsefi hermenötik yaklaşımdan yararlanılmıştır. Zirahermenötik yaklaşım yorumlama merkezlidir ve anlama odaklanmaktadır. Ayrıcahermenötik yorumlamada dil, yaşanan tecrübeler, tarih ve hermenötik döngüdenfaydalanılmaktadır. Bu nedenle, yerin ontolojisini ve epistemolojisini ele alırken bizekılavuzluk eden en önemli yaklaşım felsefi hermenötik olmuştur. Although space has become the main concept in the geographicaldiscipline in recent years, place continues to exist as an important concept. Placeis a phenomenon to which we give meaning and at the same time from whichwe draw meaning. Geographical analyses that do not take place into accountwill be unsatisfactory and incomplete, considering that life exists together withplace. The earth and human beings do not exist separately from each other;both continue their existence by being embedded in each other. In the study, thephilosophical hermeneutic approach was utilized to better understand and interpretplace in that the hermeneutic approach is mainly interpretation-centered andfocuses on understanding. It also employs language, lived experiences, history,and the hermeneutic cycle in hermeneutic interpretation. Therefore, philosophicalhermeneutics has been the most important approach that has guided us in dealingwith the ontology and epistemology of place.
