Abstract

Mısır’daki elitlerin siyasi ve iktisadi etkilerini Mısır için özel bir dönem aralığı olan Cemal Abdül Nasır Dönemi üzerinden incelemek ve elitizm teorisinin öngörülerini, konu edilen tarihsel süreç bağlamında değerlendirmek gayesiyle ortaya konan bu tez üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde, klasik ve modern elitizm teorileri ile Nasır dönemine gelene değin Mısır ülkesinin tarihi, Mısır’ın özel konumunu ve durumunu oluşturan tarihi miras çerçevesinde Mısır’daki yönetici elitin macerasına değinilmiştir. İkinci bölümde, Mısır İhtilali ve Mısır’da yeni elitin yükselişi üzerinde durulmuştur. Üçüncü bölümde ise elit davranışlarının siyasi ve iktisadi sonuçları; Mısır ve Cemal Abdül Nasır Dönemi örneği üzerinden genel bir değerlendirmeye tabi tutulmuştur. The purpose of this thesis; which consists of three sections, is to analyze the political and the economic effects of Egyptian elites through the Period of Gamal Abdel Nasser which is a period that counts as a specific one for Egypt and is to evaluate the foresight of elitism theory in this context. In the first section, the classical and modern theories of elitism and the journey of ruling elites is mentioned within the frame of the historical heritage which creates the Egypt's specific situation and the history of Egypt until the period of Nasser. In the second section, Egyptian Revolution and the rise of the new elites in Egypt is focused. And finally, in the third section, the economic and the political consequences of elite behavior is evaluated from the case of Egypt and Gamal Abdel Nasser Period.
