Publication: Grafik tasarımda anlam bağlantılarının kurulmasına ilişkin program önerisi
Abstract
Araştırmanın temel amacı, grafik tasarım eğitimi alan öğrencilerin evrensel kültür bağlamında imgesimge okuryazarlıklarını geliştirebilecekleri bilgi ve becerilerin kazandırılmasıdır. Öğrencilerin imge-simge okuryazarı olmaları; tasarıma yönelik fikir oluşturma, tasarımda kullanılan görsel öğeler arasında bilgiye dayalı bağlantılar kurma, onları yorumlama ve tasarımın eleştirel yaklaşım disiplinini elde etmeleri açısından önemlidir. Araştırmada grafik tasarım alanında eğitim gören öğrencilere yönelik bir ders programı tasarlanmıştır. Bu programla, öğrenciler tasarımı oluştururken, tasarımda imgeleri-simgeleri bilinçli kullanmayı ve tasarım bütünlüğünü eleştirel bir yaklaşımla yaratmayı ve tasarımı okumayı, görsel öğeleri anlamlandırmayı sağlayabilecek yetiler geliştirilebilir. Bu nedenle tasarlanan program, belli bir zaman diliminde uygulanarak, araştırmada programın sağladığı gelişmenin düzeyi incelenmiştir. Eylem araştırması olarak planlanan çalışmada, farklı kaynaklardan veriler elde edilmiştir. Araştırma sürecinde elde edilen tüm veriler nitel araştırma yöntemlerinde kullanılan ve makro seviyede gerçekleştirilen betimsel çözümleme yaklaşımıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonuçlarında; (1) Kültürel imge-simge okuryazarlığı ders programı, çalışma grubunun grafik tasarımlarda kullanılan imge ve simgelerin anlamlandırılması açısından farkındalık gelişimlerini artırdığı görülmüştür, (2) Kültürel imgesimge okuryazarlığı ders programı, çalışma grubunun tasarımlarında görsel dil oluşturmak için bilinçli olarak kültürel imge ve simgeleri kullanabilme becerilerini geliştirdiği görülmüştür, (3) Kültürel imge ve simge okuryazarlığı ders programına yönelik, çalışma grubunun "dersin içeriklerine ve dersin biçimine" ilişkin olumlu değerlendirmeleri görülmüştür.
The main objective of the study, it is to gain the information and skills of which students receiving the graphic design training might develop the image-symbol literacy in the content of the universal culture. Students are image-symbol literate; idea formation for design, establishing a connection between visual elements used in designs based on information are important in terms of their interpretations and obtainment of critical approach dicipline of design. A course schedule is designed for students, who take education for graphic design at research. When students create design with this program, they can develop capabilities to ensure to use conscious image-symbols in design and creting the entire design with a critical approach and read the design, make sense of the visial elements. Therefore, at the research designed program was used in a certain time and inspected the level of the development, which the program ensured. In the study planned for the action study, the data has been obtained from the different sources. All data obtained in the study process has been realized with the descriptive analysis approach which is used in the qualitative study methods obtained during the research and realized at the macro level. At the results from the study; (1) The cultural image-symbol literacy lecture program on the development of the awareness has been seen increased in terms of interpretation of the image and symbols used in the graphic design of the study group, (2) The cultural image-symbol literacy lecture program on the skills to use the cultural image and symbol with intent for creation of the visual language in the design of the study group has been seen increased, (3) The study group has positive assessment in the cultural image and symbol literacy lecture program for the "content and form of the lecture".
