Temel baskı sistemlerinin ayırıcı özelliklerinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Matbaacılıkta yaygın olarak tipo, flekso, ofset, tifdruk, serigrafi ve dijital baskı sistemleri olmak üzere altı temel baskı sistemi kullanılmaktadır. Bütün baskı sistemlerinin çalışma prensipleri, baskı öncesi, baskı ve baskı sonrası üretim aşamaları farklıdır. Tipo, flekso, ofset, tifdruk ve serigrafi geleneksel baskı sistemleri olup, bu baskı sistemleri ile basılmak istenen görüntülerin baskı altı malzemesinden önce bir baskı kalıbına aktarılmaları gerekmektedir. Baskı makinelerinin özelliklerine bağlı olarak, baskı kalıbındaki görüntüler direkt olarak baskı altı malzemesine veya öncesinde bir baskı kauçuğuna aktarılabilmektedir. Bu nedenle baskı sistemleri direkt veya endirekt olarak da sınıflandırılmaktadır. Dijital baskı sistemlerinde de görüntüler baskı altı malzemesine direkt ve endirekt şekillerde aktarılabilmektedir; fakat bu baskı sistemlerinde baskı kalıbı kullanımına ihtiyaç yoktur. Bu çalışmada geleneksel baskı sistemleri olan tipo, flekso, ofset, tifdruk ve serigrafi baskı sistemleri ile dijital baskı sistemlerinden matbaacılıkta yaygın olarak kullanılan elektrofotografik ve mürekkep püskürtmeli (Inkjet) baskı sistemlerinin çalışma prensipleri, baskı kalıplarının hazırlık aşamaları, baskı mürekkepleri, baskı altı malzemeleri ve uygulama alanları araştırılmıştır. Her bir baskı sisteminin ayırıcı özellikleri açıklanmış ve hangi mamullerin, hangi baskı yöntemi ile en uygun şartlarda ve yüksek kalitede basılacağı belirlenmiştir.

Six basic printing systems are commonly used in printing: letterpress, flexo, offset, rotogravure, screen printing and digital printing systems. The working principles of all printing systems and the pre-printing, printing and post-printing processes are different. Letterpress, flexo, offset, rotogravure and screen printing are conventional printing systems and the images to be printed with these printing systems must be transferred to a printing plate before the substrate. Depending on the characteristics of the printing presses, the images on the printing plate can be transferred directly to the substrate or to a blanket beforehand. For this reason, printing systems are also classified as direct and indirect systems. In digital printing systems, images can be transferred to the substrate in direct and indirect ways; however, there is no need to use printing plates in these printing systems. In this study, the working principles, preparation stages of printing plates, printing inks, printing substrates and fields of usage of conventional printing systems, including letterpress, flexo, offset, rotogravure and screen printing, as well as, widely used digital printing systems such as electrophotographic and inkjet printing have been examined. The distinctive features of each printing system are explained and it is determined which products could be printed with which system under the most suitable conditions and in high quality.
