19. yüzyıl tarih telakkileri ve Darülfünun’da islam tarihi dersleri

Abstract

19. yüzyılda Avrupa’da tarih alanında büyük gelişmeler olmuş, pek çok tarih tezi ortaya atılmıştır. Bu tarih tezleri, modernleşme döneminde Osmanlı tarih telakkilerini ciddi ölçüde etkilemiştir. Bu etki, daha çok yeni açılan modern mekteplerle kendisini göstermiştir. Medreselerden farklı bir eğitim-öğretim kurumu olarak düşünülen Darulfünûn bu modern mekteplerin başında gelir. İlk defa bu müessesede okutulmaya başlayan tarih dersleri, daha sonra gelişerek branşlara ayrılmıştır. Bu branşlardan birisi olan İslam Tarihi derslerinin teşekkül sürecini ortaya koymak, aynı zamanda bu derslerin tarih telakkileriyle irtibatını da gösterecektir. Bu amaçla yapılan çalışmada bir taraftan anahatlarıyla 19. yüzyıl tarih telakkîleri verilirken diğer taraftan bu tarih telakkîleriyle irtibatlı olarak medreselerde ve Darulfünun’da okutulan İslam Tarihi dersleri incelenmiştir. In the 19th century, major developments happened in Europe in the field of history and several historical theses were postulated. These theses affected Ottoman historical considerations during the epoch of modernizations. This effect was prominently observed through the newly founded modern schools. Darulfunun envisioned as a different educational institution than the medrese appears as the foremost one of those modern schools. History, taught as a lesson firstly in this institution, having developed later, divided into branches. Putting forth the development process of Islamic History, which is one of those branches, will also demonstrate the relation of the lessons there of with the considerations of history. In this study, which has been aforementioned written with this purpose, on the one hand the historical considerations of the 19th century have been given in outline, and on the other hand the lessons of Islamic History at the medrese and Darulfunun institutions have been examined in concordance with the abovementioned historical considerations.
