Publication: Zihinsel engeli olan bireylerle çalışan öğretmenlerin cinsel eğitime yönelik tutumları ve etik durumlarının karşılaştırılması
Abstract
Bu araştırmada zihinsel yetersizliği olan bireylerle çalışan öğretmenlerin cinsel eğitime yönelik tutumları ile etik durumları arasında bir ilişki olup olmadığı araştırılmıştır. Cinsel eğilimler doğru yönlendirilmediğinde olumsuz sonuçlara yol açabilirler. Zihin engelli bireylerde cinsel eğitimin önemi bilinmektedir. Bu eğitim hem ailede hem de okulda verilebilir. Her iki durumda da zihin engelli bireylerle çalışan öğretmenlerin bu konudaki tutumları önem kazanmaktadır. Bu tutumları etkileyen birçok etmen olmakla birlikte toplumsal değer yargıları, ahlak anlayışı ve geleneklere bağlılık kısacası bir bütün olarak etik de temel bir etmen olarak göze çarpmaktadır. Zihinsel engellilerle çalışan öğretmenlerin cinsel eğitime yönelik tutumlara etki eden faktörlerin belirlenmesi, olumsuz olanların ortadan kaldırılarak olumlu olanların desteklenmesinin bu alandaki sorunları aza indireceği düşünülmektedir. Bu bağlamda etik değerlerin önemi ortaya çıkmaktadır. İlişkisel desende tarama modelli bir çalışma olan araştırma kapsamında İstanbul’un 7 ilçesinde toplam 329 öğretmene ulaşılmıştır. Bu öğretmenlere Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Forsyth (1980) tarafından geliştirilen ve 2010 yılında Yazıcı ve Yazıcı tarafından dilimize uyarlanarak geçerlik güvenirlik çalışması yapılan Etik Durum Ölçeği ve Serin, Girli ve Doğru (2013) tarafından geliştirilen Zihinsel Yetersizliği Olan Bireylerle Çalışan Öğretmenler İçin Cinsel Eğitime Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda cinsel eğitime yönelik tutumlarında branş değişkenine göre özel eğitim öğretmenleri lehine tüm alt faktörleri kapsayacak şekilde, çevresinde zihinsel engelli birey bulunma değişkenine göre çevresinde zihinsel engelli birey bulunanlar lehine anlamlı fark bulunmuştur. Etik Durum Ölçeği verileri analiz edildiğinde öğretmenlerin idealizm alt boyutuna ilişkin hesaplanan ortalama puanları görecelik alt boyutu için hesaplanan ortalama puanından oldukça yüksektir. Inthis study it was researchedif there is a relationship between the attitudes of teachers towards sex education who work with mentally retarded people and their ethical positions. Sexual trends may cause negative results if not directed correctly.Significance of sexeducation for mentally retarded peopleisa wellknownfact.This trainingcan beprovided both through the family and atschool.Attitude of teachers who work with mentally retarded peopleis very important in both cases. Much as there are numerous factors affecting these attitudes social value judgments, ethical understanding, conventionality and in short ethics as a whole stands out as a key factor. It is believed that determining the factors that affect the attitudes of teachers towards sex education who work with mentally retarded people, elimination of negative such factors and provision of positive factors will minimize the issues in the cited field.The importance of ethical values comes to the fore in this context. A total of 329 teachers were reached in 7 districts of Istanbul within the purview of the study which is a screening model in relational patterns.Personal Data Sheet, Ethic Position Questionnaire developed through Forsyth (1980) and adapted to our language in 2010 by Yazıcı and Yazıcı and validity and reliability study of which was done and Scale of Attitude Towards Sexual Education for Teachers Who Work with Mentally Retarded Peopledeveloped by Serin, Girli ve Doğru (2013) were applied to these teachers. As a result of the analysis carried out, a significant difference was found in favor of special education teachers in their attitudes towards sex education inaccordance withbranchvariablecovering all sub factors and a significant difference was found in favor of mentally retarded peopleinaccordance withthevariable of presence of mentally retarded people in their social environment. When the Ethic Position Questionnaire data were analyzed it was found that average scores of the teachers calculated for the idealism sub-dimension were significantly higher than the average score calculated for the relativity sub-dimension.
