Publication: Tevazu bağlamında bilge liderlik bir model önerisi
Abstract
This study aims to examine the effects of employees' perceived humility levels of their leaders on their leaders' perceived ego state and effective leadership level and study the effect of this on psychological capital and performance. This study is based on the empirical method and accordingly the survey technique was applied for data collection. By using the quantitative research method, the analysis of the questionnaire responses of 1154 people was considered. The models and hypotheses created under the study's purpose were measured by the descriptive research method and questionnaire technique and analyzed by quantitative methods. The sample, on the other hand, was determined as remote workers, mainly due to the emergence of technology and the fact that interpersonal communication has gained a very distinct dimension, and the people who have experienced working close to technology and at the same time physically distant from their leader were determined as the main sample group. The findings indicate a significant effect between the level of humility, effective leadership approaches, and ego (ego state) in transactional analysis. When the regression equation was analyzed, it was concluded that humility had a positive effect of 0.319 on effective leadership styles. This result suggests that a one-unit increase in the humility levels of the participants will cause an increase of 0.319 on effective leadership styles. Besides, it has been discovered that humility has a negative effect of 0.305 on toxic leadership. This result indicates that a one-unit increase in the humility levels of the participants will cause a 0.305 decrease in toxic leadership. When the regression equation is examined, it has been determined that humility has a positive effect of 0.172 on the Adult ego level. This result suggests that a one-unit increase in the humility levels of the participants will cause an increase of 0.172 on the Adult ego level. It was also concluded that the Critical Parent ego had a positive effect of 0.210 units on toxic leadership, a negative effect of 0.200 units of Adapted Child ego on toxic leadership, and a negative effect of 0.120 units of Natural Child ego on toxic leadership
