Publication: İlk çocukluk dönemi kişilik envanteri (ESPQ)’nin Türkiye koşullarına uygun dilsel eşdeğerlilik, geçerlilik, güvenirlik ve norm çalışması
Abstract
Kişilik, bireyin doğuştan getirdiği özellikleri, psikolojik ve fiziksel durumunu, aile ve çevreyle kurmuş olduğu ilişkilerin yanı sıra bireyin ilgi, tutum ve alışkanlıklarını kapsayan insanın özü veya onu diğer bireylerden ayıran bir yapıdır diyebiliriz. Bu yapının doğumla beraber gelişmeye başladığı görüşü yaygın olmakla birlikte, doğum öncesi dönemden itibaren gelişmeye başladığı da son zamanlarda yaygınlaşmaya başlayan fikirlerden biridir. Bu araştırmanın amacı da 6-8 yaşlar arası çocukların kişilik özelliklerini belirlemek üzere geliştirilen Early School Personality Questionnaire ( İlk Çocukluk Dönemi Kişilik Envanteri )'nin güvenirlik, geçerlik ve norm çalışmasını gerçekleştirmektir. Bu amaçla 2002-2003 öğretim yılında İstanbul İli'nde tesadüfi örneklem metoduyla belirlene 5 ilçe ve bu ilçelerden yine tesadüfi örneklem metoduyla belirlenen 8 okulun anasınıfı, 1. ve 2. sınıf öğrencileri ile aynı öğrencilerin aileleri araştırmanın çalışma evrenini oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada İlk çocukluk Dönemi Kişilik Envanteri'nin güvenirlik çalışması için 6-8 yaşlar arası 601 öğrenciye ulaşılmış ve envanter çocuklara bireysel olarak uygulanmıştır. Envanterin güvenirlik çalışması için, her bir alt ölçek için, aritmetik orta, standart sapma değerleri, test-tekrar test sonuçları, iç tutarlılık katsayıları ve madde analiz işlemleri; geçerlik çalışmaları için ise kapsam, yapı ve kriter geçerliği hesaplamaları yapılmıştır. Tüm bu istatistiksel işlemlerde SPSS paket kullanılmış ve istatistiksel sınamada anlamlılık düzeyi an az 0,05 olarak kabul edilmiştir. 0,01 düzeyinde anlamlı çıkan sonuçlar da tablolarda ayrıca belirtilmiştir. Araştırma sonucu elde edilen bulgular, İlk çocukluk Dönemi Kişilik Envanteri'nin alt ölçeklerinin güvenilir ve geçerli olduğunu göstermiştir.
Personality can be defined as a structure which differs an individual from others in the sense that a person's innate characters, psychological and physical state and the relations he or she establishes with his family and environment and that personality covers the individual's interest, attitude and habits.Whereas the idea that this structure seems to develop since birth is very common, on the other hand, that the structure begins to develop during the pre-natal period, is one of the worlwide views. The purpose of this research is to realize the reliability, validity and norm studies of Early School Personality Questionnaire which 13 primary and 4 secondary sub-scales and was developed to determine the personality characters of the children aged 6-8. Within this purpose during the years 2002-2003, 5 provinces and 8 schools in İstanbul were selected randomly. And the pre-school, first and second grades students and their families of these schools formed the study universe of the research. To ensure the reliability of the early School Personality Questionnaire, 601 students participated and the Inventory was applied to children individually within the research. To ensure the reliability studies of the Inventory, arithmetic mean, standart deviation, iner coherence coefficiency and item analyses were calculated. And to ensure the validity studies of the test, scope, structure and criterion validity were calculated. SPSS pack was used for all those statistical processes and meaningfullnes level was accepted to be 0,05 in the least for statistical testing. The results which were meaningful at 0,01 level were also specified in the tables. The findings of the resrearch showed that the sub-scales of the Early School Personality Questionnaire are reliable and valid.
