Publication: Yerel yönetimler rekreasyonu özelinde fiziksel okuryazarlık algısı engelleyicilerinin belirlenmesi
Abstract
Objective: In this study, a scale was developed for the perception of physical literacy among participants of local government recreation activities in order to fill the gap in the literature regarding the assessment tool. This study aims to determine the barriers to the perceived physical literacy level of individuals and to propose solutions and interventions for their physical literacy journeys. Materials and Methods: The Perceived Physical Literacy Scale for Everyone (PHLI) was developed in 5 stages, taking into account the scale development stages in the literature (creation of the item pool, obtaining expert opinions, conducting a trial application, factor analysis, reliability analysis). Results: As a result of the analysis, it was seen that the scale consisting of 19 items had 3 factors with an Eigen value greater than 1 and the total variance they explained was 69,690%. As a result of the CFA, it was seen that the model was at a good level in all fit indices. χ 2/ sd, RMSEA, SRMR, RMR, NNFI, CFI, GFI and AGFI fit indices were taken into consideration and it was seen that all of them were at acceptable rates. Finally, as a result of the validity and reliability analyses, Cronbach alpha coefficient (α) = 0,94 was determined. Conclusion: The obtained scale, which has a high positive correlation between the sub-dimensions, has been shown to be a reliable and valid scale in determining the physical literacy that people perceive in themselves.
