Abstract
Doğum süreci (intrapartum süreç), kadınların ve bebeklerin hayatta kalması için kritik öneme sahiptir. Çünkü, intrapartum komplikasyonlar ortayaçıktığında hem kadın hem de bebek için mortalite ve ciddi morbidite riski artmaktadır. Günümüzde, dünyanın birçok yerinde daha fazla sayıda kadınsağlık kurumlarında doğum yapmakta ancak çoğu yerde hala düşük kaliteli sağlık hizmeti almakta ve bu durum istenen sağlık sonuçlarınaulaşılmasını engellemektedir. Tüm bu gerekçeler ve intrapartum bakım konusundaki çözülemeyen sorunlar nedeniyle Dünya Sağlık Örgütü, travayve doğum sırasındaki hizmet sunumuna temel yaklaşımın yeniden düşünülmesi ve intrapartum bakımın tekrar ele alınması gerektiğini belirtmektedir.Bu makale, yeni intrapartum bakım yaklaşımını gündeme getirmek, Dünya Sağlık Örgütünün 2018 yılına ait intrapartum bakım önerilerini sunmakve bu bağlamda konuyla ilgili farkındalığın artmasına ve bu önerilerin kliniğe yansımasına katkı sağlamak amacıyla kaleme alınmıştır.
The birth process is critical to the survival of women and their babies. Because, when intrapartum complications occur, the risk of mortality and_x000D_ serious morbidity increases for both the woman and baby. Nowadays, more women are giving birth in health care facilities in many parts of the_x000D_ world, but in many places they still receive poor quality health care and this situation hampers to achieve the desired health outcomes. All these_x000D_ reasons and due to the unresolved issues in intrapartum care, World Health Organization state that emphasize the basic approach to service delivery_x000D_ during labor and delivery needs to be reconsideration and intrapartum care should be handle again. This article was written up in order to bring on_x000D_ the agenda the new intrapartum care approach and presenting intrapartum care recommendations of the World Health Organization 2018, in this_x000D_ context, to increase awareness about the subject and to contribute to the reflection of these recommandations to the clinical practices.
