Publication: Necib Melhame Paşa’nın siyasî hayatı (1856-1927)
Abstract
Bu çalışmamızda, II. Abdülhamid döneminin sembol kurumu haline gelen Hafiye Teşkilatı’na mensup olan Necib Melhame Paşa’nın biyografisi ele alınmıştır. Ayrıca Necib Melhame’nin şahsı üzerinden, çok tartışılan bu kuruma hizmet eden bir bürokratın devlet içindeki etkinliği, arşiv belgelerinin yardımıyla ortaya konulmaktadır. Bunların yanı sıra çalışmamızda, Paris Sefareti Müsteşarlığı, Bulgaristan Komiserliği, Yıldız Camii Suikasti Araştırma Komisyonu Başkanlığı ve son olarak Nafia Nezareti Müsteşarlığı görevlerinde bulunan Necib Melhame’nin görevlerinin izinde Abdülhamid döneminin mühim meselelerine değinilmiştir.
This work is on the biography of Necib Melhame Pasha, a member of the iconic Secret Service of Abdulhamid II. The archival documents help uncover the activities of a bureaucrat of the state who is also an agent of this much debated service via the life and person of Necip Melhame. This work also refers to the important issues of the period of Abdulhamid the 2nd, following the trail of Necib Melhame as the Counselor of Paris Embassy, Commissioner of Bulgaria, Chief of Interrogation Committee for the Yıldız Mosque Assasination Attempt, and finally as the Counselor of Ministry of Public Works.
