Publication: Şehir arşivlerinin gelişimi ve Türkiye’de şehir arşivi olgusu
Abstract
Şehir, insanoğlunun yerleşik yaşama geçmesiyle birlikte sosyal, kültürel ve ekonomik yapısını geliştirerek canlı bir mekanizma haline dönüşmüştür. Şehir yaşamının idame edebilmesi için gerekli kurumsallaşma sonrası üretilen belgeler, o şehrin tarihinin değerlendirilmesinde birincil kaynaktır. Bu çalışma, yerel ve toplumsal tarihin devamlılığı için arşivcilik yapılanmasının şehirlerden başlaması düşüncesinden hareketle, dünyada ve Türkiye'de şehir arşivciliği kavramının ortaya çıkma ve gelişme sürecini incelemiştir.
The city has evolved its social-culturel and economic structure with beginning of permanent settlement of human and transformed into a living organism. The documents procuded for the continuation of city life after establisment of institutions became the primary sources for evaluation of the local and social history. Stemming from the idea that record keeping structures should start from the cities to ensure contuniuty in local and social history, this study analyzes the emergency and development of city archives in the world and in Turkey.
