Uluslararası ticarette blokzincir (Blockchain) teknolojisi

Abstract

Blokzincir teknolojisinin teorik altyapısı 1980’li yıllara kadar uzansa da ilk başarılı uygulama 2008 finansal krizinin yaşandığı dönemde bitcoin ile gerçekleşmiştir. İlk başarılı kullanımından sonra bu teknolojinin zamanla lojistik, sağlık, finans vb. sektörlerdeki projelerde kullanıldığı görülmektedir. Bu teknoloji, barındırmış olduğu güvenlik, hız, takip edilebilirlik gibi özellikler sayesinde dijitalleşme konusunda eksik kalan uluslararası ödemeler ve süreçlerde önemli bir potansiyel barındırmaktadır. Bitcoin kripto parası doğrudan uluslararası ödemelerde kullanılamasa da bu teknolojinin bu alanda kullanımı mümkündür. Hali hazırda uluslararası ticaretin ödeme, finansman ve süreçlerinde blokzincir tabanlı projelere rastlanmakta ve birçok projenin gelişim aşamasında olduğu bilinmektedir. Bu projeler çeşitli amaçlarla farklı blokzincir yapılarını kullanmakta ve kurumların farklı ihtiyaçlarını gidermektedir. Bazı projelerin uluslararası ödeme, nakliye, evrakları bir süreç olarak ele aldığını ve taraflara tüm bu süreçler için blokzincir tabanlı hizmetler sunulduğu görülürken bazı projeler yalnızca bir ödeme yönteminin ve bir evrakın blokzincir tabanlı bir sisteme oturtulması ile aktörlere hizmet sunmaktadır. Tüm bu projelerin amaçları ise süreçler içerisindeki hata oranlarının düşürülmesi, fiziksel evrak kullanımından dolayı oluşacak tahrifin önlenmesi, işlemlerin hızlandırılması, verimliliğin arttırılması olarak değerlendirilmektedir.

Although the theoretical infrastructure of blockchain technology dates back to the 1980s, the first successful application was realized with bitcoin during the 2008 financial crisis. After its first successful use, it is seen that this technology is used in projects in logistics, health, finance, etc. sectors over time. Thanks to its security, speed and traceability features, this technology has a significant potential in international payments and processes that are lacking in digitalization. Although Bitcoin crypto money cannot be used directly in international payments, it is possible to use this technology in this field. Currently, there are blockchain-based projects in the payment, financing and processes of international trade, and it is known that many projects are in the development phase. These projects use different blockchain structures for various purposes and meet the different needs of institutions. While it is seen that some projects consider international payment, shipping and documents as a process and blockchain-based services are offered to the parties for all these processes, some projects only serve actors by placing a payment method and a document on a blockchain-based system. The aims of all these projects are to reduce the error rates in the processes, to prevent the falsification that will occur due to the use of physical documents, to speed up the processes and to increase the efficiency.
