HDR fotoğraf tekniği

Abstract

Yüksek kontrast içeren görüntüler fotoğraflanırken aydınlık noktaların temel alınarak pozlanması gölgelerdeki bilgilerin, karanlık noktaların temel alınarak pozlanması ise parlak alanlardaki bilgilerin kaybolmasına sebep olur. Fotoğraf makinelerinin kaydedebildiği kontrastın sınırlı olmasından kaynaklanan bu durumun ortadan kaldırılması için geliştirilen HDR (High Dynamic Range – Yüksek Dinamik Aralık) tekniği sayesinde görüntünün sahip olduğu tüm dinamik aralık kaydedilebilmektedir. HDR oluşturma süreci, enstantane dışındaki tüm parametrelerin sabit tutularak ve farklı poz değerleriyle çekilen fotoğrafların bir yazılım aracılığıyla HDR dosyasına dönüştürülmesi ve sonrasında ton eşlemesinin yapılması olarak özetlenebilir. Geleneksel fotoğraflardan çok farklı, içerdiği bilgi açısından gerçeğe daha yakın ama istendiği takdirde masalsı görüntülerin elde edilmesini sağlayan bu teknik ile ilgili görüşler de değişiklik göstermektedir. HDR’nin fotoğrafa olan katkılarını takdir eden ve kullanan çok sayıda fotoğrafçı olmasına rağmen, tekniğin yanlış uygulamaları bazı fotoğrafçıların HDR ile ilgili olumsuz yargılar geliştirmesine sebep olmuştur. HDR yepyeni bir görüntüleme sisteminin ilk adımını oluşturmaktadır ve sadece fotoğrafçılığı değil bilgisayar görüntülerinden, sinemaya, sağlıktan uzay görüntülemesine kadar pek çok alanı derinden etkilemektedir. Bu çalışma ile HDR tekniğinin ne olduğu, doğru bir uygulamanın nasıl olması gerektiği anlatılmaya çalışılmıştır. Araştırma esnasında HDR tekniğinin kapsamının yeterince anlaşılamadığı gözlemlenmiştir. Çalışma ile tekniğin fotoğrafçılık için sıradan bir araç olmadığı, çok önemli bir bilimsel gelişmenin bir uzantısı olduğu izah edilmeye çalışılmış, HDR’nin fotoğraf sanatına olası etkileri üzerine durulmuş ve geleceği ile ilgili görüşlere yer verilmiştir.

When the high contrast images are photographed, exposing on the basis of highlights causes the loss of information in the shadows, while exposing on the basis of the shadows causes the loss of information in the highlights. Through the technique of HDR - High Dynamic Range (that developed to eliminate this situation caused by the limited contrast capture of cameras) all that dynamic range of the image can be captured with. The process of creating HDR can be summarized as an HDR file formation from the photographs taken by using different exposure values by keeping all of the parameters fixed except shutter speed and after that applying a tone mapping conversion by using HDR software. The views also vary; related to technique that is very different from traditional photography, closer to reality in regard to the information contained in and surrealistic images can be obtained if requested. Although there are many photographers who appreciate the contributions of HDR to photography and use it, incorrect applications lead some photographers to negative judgments. HDR is the first step of a brand-new imaging system and affects many areas; not just photography but also from computer images to cinema, from welfare to space imaging. With this study; it has been tried to explain; what the HDR technique is, what a correct application should be. It has been observed that the scope of the HDR technique has not been sufficiently understood, during the research. In this study, it has been tried to explain that this technique is not an ordinary tool for the photography but an extension of a very important scientific development. So it has been focused on the possible effects of the technique to the art of photography and given the opinions about its future.
