Kamusal alanda “inşa etmek” üzerine düşünmek “İstanbul İnşa Hafızası”

Abstract

Kamusal alanda “inşa etmek” üzerine düşünmek “İstanbul inşa hafızası” Bu eser metninde kamusal alan kavramı ve kamusal sanat eserleri üzerinden Martin Heidegger’in Almanca “Bauen” (inşa etmek) kavramı ile ilişkisi incelenmiştir. İnşa etmek, İskân etmek ve Düşünmek makalesinden yola çıkarak kamusal alanda var olan eserler üzerinden Heidegger’in yeryüzü, gök, tanrısallar ve ölümlüler dörtlüsüyle ilişki kurulmuştur. Bu bağlamda inşa etmek kavramı ile İstanbul İnşa Hafızası isimli eser üretilmiştir. Sanatsal deneyim pratiğiyle, İstanbul kentinin tarihi yapılarıyla birlikte kaya formu ile yeni bir kadrajda kent inşası kurulmuştur. Araştırmanın konusu olan “İnşa Etmek” kavramı, “Bauen” kelimesinin kökeni olan oturmak, var olmaktır. Oturmak, ölümlülerin yeryüzünde olma tarzıdır. Oturmak inşa etmede, yetiştirmede, yani büyümede ve yapıları diken-kuran inşa etmek olarak tanımlanır. Araştırma sırasında literatür okumalarında edinilen inşa etmeye sadece “kurmak, yapmak” anlamıyla değil, “Bauen” kavramı ile anlamlandırdığı düşünce perspektifiyle de yaklaşılmaktadır. Yeryüzü sanatı ile başlayan “Beyaz Küp” dışında sanatın alışılmış mekân kavramını sorgulayan, yeni alan açan, kamusal sanatın gelişim süreci ve sanatçıların eserlerinin kamusal sanatının temelleri bu bağlamda ele alınır. Kamusal sanat eserlerinin inşa üzerinden tanımlanması, günümüze yansımalarını, yeniden okunmasını ortaya koymakta ve inşa kavramı ile eserlere yeni bakış açısı kazandırılmaktadır. Felsefe ve sanat ilişkiselliği içerisinde kamusal sanatta yer edinmiş eserlerin inşa kavramı ile ilişkisini irdelenmektedir. Bu çalışmada, Heidegger’in inşa etme fikrinden hareketle, günümüz kentlerinde kamusal alanların nasıl inşa edildiği, bu süreçte mimarinin, sanatın ve kolektif belleğin nasıl biçimlendirildiği tartışılmaktadır.

Thinking about “building” in public space “Istanbul building memory” This text examines the relationship between the concept of public space and public artworks and Martin Heidegger's German concept of “Bauen” (building). Based on the article Building, Dwelling, Thinking, a connection is established between the works existing in the public sphere and Heidegger's quartet of earth, sky, gods and mortals. In this context, the work Istanbul Building Memory was produced based on the concept of building. Through artistic practice, a new urban construction has been established in a new frame with the historical structures of Istanbul and rock formations. The concept of “Building,” which is the subject of the research, is to sit, to exist, which is the origin of the word “Bauen”. Sitting is the way mortals exist on earth. Sitting is defined as building, cultivating, that is, growing and constructing structures. During the research, the literature review approached building not only with the meaning of “establishing, making,” but also with the perspective of the concept of “Bauen.” Beyond the “White Cube”, which began with earth art, the development process of public art and the foundations of public art in the works of artists are examined in this context, questioning the conventional concept of space in art and opening up new areas. The definition of public artworks through construction reveals their reflections in the present day, allows for their reinterpretation, and provides a new perspective on the works through the concept of construction. The relationship between philosophy and art is examined in terms of how public artworks relate to the concept of construction. This study, based on Heidegger's idea of building, discusses how public spaces are constructed in today's cities and how architecture, art, and collective memory are shaped in this process.
