Spor bilimleri fakülteleri mezunu kadınların istihdam ve işsizlik deneyimleri

Abstract

Bu çalışma, spor bilimleri fakülteleri mezunu kadınların istihdam ve işsizlik deneyimlerini incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Farklı bölüm, şehir, üniversite ve yaştan 22 kadınla Zoom zerinden online olarak yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmış ve belirlenen temaları ortaya çıkaran deşifre edilmiş görüşmeler üzerinde içerik analizi yapılmıştır.Elde edilen bulgular neticesinde ortaya çıkan temalar; istihdam ve işsizlikte coğrafi avantajlar ve dezavantajlar, istihdam ve işsizlikte eğitim hayatının rolü, cinsiyetin istihdam ve işsizliği şekillendirici rolü, istihdamda ücret ve sosyal güvence sorunsalı, işsizlik süreç ve deneyimleri, torpil algısı, sektöre ve mesleğe yönelik algı, işgücü politikaları şeklinde sıralanmaktadır. Hemen hemen her katılımcı, kendilerini iyi yetiştirmeleri durumunda eşit istihdam olanaklarına erişim hali sağlanabildiği sürece iş bulabileceklerinin altını çizmiştir. Ayrıca her biri, tüm alanlarda iş bulma konusunda spor sektörünü çevreleyen temel sorunun torpil olduğuna dikkat çekmiştir. Kadınlar, işlerinde çoğunlukla fiziksel çalışmaların yanı sıra ev işleri ve çocuk bakımıyla da zorlanmaktadır. Kamuda iş bulma konusunda sınırlamalar, özel sektörde ise özellikle ücretler açısından engeller, kadınların ya yıllarca işsiz kalmasına ya da düşük ücretlerle sigortasız işlerde çalışmasına neden olmaktadır. Bu çalışma, kadınların sporda şeffaf ve eşit bir geleceğe sahip olmaları için politikalarda, belediyelerde, federasyonlarda, spor kulüplerinde ve üniversitelerde yapılması gereken yapısal değişikliklere dikkat çekmektedir.

This study aims to analyze employment and unemployment experiences of sports faculty graduate women. Semi-structured interviews were conducted online via Zoom with 22 women. A qualitative research method was used, and a content analysis was conducted on the transcribed interviews, which revealed the themes in the study. Following themes are found as a result of the findings: geographical advantages and disadvantages, education's role in employment and unemployment, gender's role in employment and unemployment, wage and social security issues in employment, unemployment processes and experiences, perception of favoritism, perception of the sector and the profession, employment policies.Almost every participant underlined the fact that women in sports, if they educated themselves well enough, under the equal employment opportunities, will be able to find a job. In addition, every one of them pointed out that favoritism is the main problem surrounding the sports sector across all areas of work. Women in sports are challenged with housework and childcare in addition to their mostly physical work in their jobs. Women are faced with limitations on finding a job in the public sector and with obstacles, especially in terms of wages, in the private sector causing women either to be unemployed for years or working in jobs for unlawful hours for low wages. This study draws attention to the structural changes in governments, municipalities, federations, sports clubs, and universities that is needed for women to have a transparent and equal future in sports.
