Abstract
AFA sonucuna göre on alt boyut ortaya çıkmıştır. Faktör analizinde hesaplanan Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) örneklem yeterlilik katsayısı 0,850 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Bartlett testinde elde edilen (test değeri: 9596,996, sd: 2628, p<0,001) boyutlar yapısal olarak anlamlıdır. DFA, on boyutlu yapıların doğruluğunu doğruladı (CFI=0,901; IFI=0,902; RMSEA= 0,054).
Title of Thesis: Turkish Validity and Reliability of the Parental Perspective Scale for Children with Cochlear Implants Student Name, Surname: Hüsna YOKTAN Supervisor Name: Prof. Dr. Ayça ÇİPRUT Program Name: Ear Nose and Throat Major Science – Subdepartment of Audiology and Speech Disorders Objective: In this study, it was aimed to translate the Parental Perspective in Children with Cochlear Implant scale into Turkish, adapt it culturally and to fill the gap in the literature by examining its psychometric properties. Material and Methods: Parents of 378 children aged 2-18 years who used cochlear implant for at least 1 year were included in the study. The original scale was translated from English to Turkish. Explanatory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) were performed to examine the construct validity of the scale. For the reliability evaluation of the scale, internal consistency and test-retest reliability measures were evaluated with Cronbach's alpha (α) and correlation, respectively. Results: The reliability coefficients of the dimensions are between 0,237 and 0,678. The test-retest correlation coefficient = 0.875 was obtained. As a result of factor analysis, ten sub-dimensions were determined. The Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) sample adequacy coefficient calculated in the sub-factor analysis was determined as 0.850. The dimensions obtained according to the result of the Bartlett test in which the significance of the factor structures were tested (test value: 9596,996, sd: 2628, p<0.001) are structurally significant. DFA confirmed the accuracy of the ten dimensional structures (CFI=0.901; IFI=0.902; RMSEA= 0.054). Conclusion: The Turkish version of the scale has good validity and reliability and can be used to examine parents' perspectives on cochlear implant.
