Tokat'ta Müslüman kişi adları (1455-1642)

Abstract

Onomastik çalışmalar dilbilim açısından önemli olduğu gibi dilin belli dönemlerde değişimlere uğraması, yabancılaşmaya başladığı dönemler veya öze dönüldüğü dönemler de tarihsel seyir açısından önemlidir. Bu noktada Türk ad biliminin en önemli kaynaklarından birisini Tapu Tahrir defterleri oluşturmaktadır. Osmanlı’dan günümüze intikal eden bu defterlerden lâyıkı vechile faydalanıldığında ve elde edilen bilgiler doğru mukayese edildiğinde tahririn ait olduğu bölgenin nüfus hareketlerini, bölgedeki ekonomik gelişmeleri, meslek erbabını ve daha pek çok veriyi tespit ve tahlil etmek mümkündür. Biz de bu doğrultuda Tokat’a ait Tapu Tahrir Defterleri’nden, Tokat’ta kullanılan adların 1455-1642’ye kadar olan seyrini takip ettik. Çalışmada, zaman zaman bazı adların artması ya da azalması doğrultusunda bölgede yaşanan beşerî ya da tabii tahribatların ilişkisi ortaya çıkarılmaya çalışılmıştır. Zira belli dönemlerde Tokat’ta büyük tahribatlar gerçekleşmiş ve nüfusta azalma olmuştur. Dolayısı ile bu nüfus değişimi Tapu Tahrir Defterleri’ne yansımıştır. Sadece nüfus değişimine bakılmayıp kullanılan adların kökeni de incelenmiştir.

As the omnastic studies are significant considering the linguistics, language’s undergoing a change in a certain period, the period that language starts alienating or the periods that back mutation appears are important in terms of the historical process. At this point, land registry books forms the most important source of Turkish onomastics. When these books that come from the years of the Ottoman Empire are taken advantage of and when the informations taken are correctly conpared, it is possible to get the population movement of the region, economic progress, proffession experts and the impressions on this region. Accordingly, we invesgated the land registry books belonging to the city Tokat and found out the process of the names used in the city Tokat between 1455-1642. The relationship between the increase and the decrease of some of the names from time to time and the destruction of the region was tried to reveal. Because in certain periods, there was big desteuctions in Tokat and the population was decreased. So, this change of population reflected on the land registry books. The origins of the names were investigated not only considering the change of population.
