Endüstriyel tasarım meslek disiplini kapsamında ilköğretim teknoloji ve tasarım dersine yönelik öğretim programı önerisi

Abstract

Bu çalışma, Türkiye’de 2006-2007 öğretim yılından itibaren ilköğretimde okutulmaya başlanan teknoloji ve tasarım dersine yönelik bir öğretim nerisi sunmayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu dersin güncellenen programlar ve eğitimde yapılan değişikliklerle günümüzdeki yapısı ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada yurt dışındaki çeşitli ülkelerde uygulanan Teknoloji ve Tasarım dersi incelenmiş ve buna benzer programlara da yer verilmiştir. Çalışma konusuyla ilgili çeşitli kaynaklar, tezler, makaleler ve bildiriler incelenmiş, Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'nın yayınladığı öğretim programlarından faydalanılmıştır. Çalışma, altı bölümden oluşmaktadır. Bu bölümlerde teknoloji ve tasarım eğitimine, endüstriyel tasarım ve yaklaşımlarına, tasarım odaklı düşünme yaklaşımının iş dünyası ve eğitim alanında uygulamasına yer verilmiştir. Böylece, öğretim nerisini endüstriyel tasarım meslek disiplini çerçevesinde ele alarak öğrencilere ne tür kazanımlar sağlanabileceğini belirlemek hedeflenmiştir. Öğrencilere kazandırılmak istenen temel becerileri; yaratıcı düşünme, problem çözme becerisi, üst düzey düşünme becerileri ve günlük hayatta karşılaşılan sorunlara endüstriyel tasarımcı bakış açısıyla ele almak şeklinde sıralayabiliriz. Bu hedeflere ulaşabilmek için, öğrencilerin sorunlara çok yönlü bakış açıları geliştirme ve yaratıcı çözümler yeteneği kazandıracak tasarım odaklı düşünme yaklaşımının öğretim programına entegre edilmesi önerilmektedir. Bu öneri doğrultusunda çocukların bilişsel, sosyal ve duygusal gelişimlerine önemli katkılar sağlayacağı; ayrıca analitik, eleştirel, yaratıcı ve yenilikçi düşünme gibi üst düzey düşünme becerilerinin gelişimine de destek olacağı düşünülmektedir.

This study aims to propose a curriculum for the Technology and Design course, which has been taught in primary education in Turkey since the 2006-2007 academic year. The current structure of this course has been examined in light of updated programs and changes in education. The study investigates the Technology and Design courses implemented in various countries abroad and includes similar programs as well. The various sources, theses, articles, and conference papers related to the subject of the study have been reviewed, and benefits have been taken from the curriculum published by the Ministry of National Education. The study consists of six sections. These sections cover technology and design education, industrial design and approaches, and the application of design thinking approach in the business world and education. Thus, the aim is to determine what kind of gains can be provided to students by addressing the curriculum proposal within the framework of the industrial design discipline. The primary skills intended to be imparted to students include creative thinking, problem-solving ability, higher-order thinking skills, and addressing everyday problems from the perspective of an industrial designer. To achieve these goals, it is recommended that a design thinking approach, which will help students develop multifaceted perspectives and the ability to devise creative solutions, be integrated into the curriculum. In accordance with this proposal, it is posited that significant contributions will be made to children's cognitive, social, and emotional development. Furthermore, the program is expected to foster the development of higher-order thinking skills, including analytical, critical, creative and innovative thinking.
