Eğitimde toplam kalite yönteminin meslek liselerinde uygulanması

Abstract

Bilim ve teknolojideki gelişmelere koşut olarak toplumsal yaşamda meydana gelen değişmeler eğitime duyulan ihtiyacın önemini daha da artırmıştır. Bu gelişmelerde bilgi en önemli bir belirleyiciliğe sahiptir. Bilginin üretildiği, dağıtıldığı kaynaklardan biri olan eğitim kurumlarının sorumlulukları önemli ölçüde artmaktadır. Ülkenin gereksinmelerine göre planlanmış bilgi ve becerilerle donatılmış, ekonomide üretkenliği artıracak iş gücü kaynağının yetiştirilmesini sağlayacak, yüksek öğretimde yığılmaları ve maliyetleri azaltacak mesleki ve teknik eğitim, gelişen teknolojiyi yakalaya bilmesi için sürekli gelişime ihtiyaç duymaktadır. Meslek liselerinin sayılarının artması ve beraberinde gelen değişiklikler meslek liselerinin rollerini yeniden belirlemeye, ellerindeki kaynakları daha verimli bir şekilde kullanmaya zorlamakta ve amaçlarına ne kadar ulaşabildiklerinin derin muhasebesini yapmaya itmektedir. Sürekli gelişmenin dinamizmini yakalama gayreti hedef, kaynak ve elde edilen başarının değerlendirilmesini etkili bir şekilde yapabilecek modeller geliştirmektedir. Bu modeller arasında en çok sözü edilen Toplam Kalite Yönetimi yaklaşımıdır. Bu araştırmada, Toplam kalite yönetimin meslek liselerine uygulanmasında sürekli iyileştirme çalışmalarının öğrencilerin başarılarını artırmada ki etkisinin ne olduğu ortaya çıkarılmaya çalışılmıştır. İlk bölümlerde literatür taraması yapılarak toplam kalite yönetimi, kalite çemberleri, kalite çemberlerinde kullanılan araçlar ve mesleki teknik eğitim anlatılmıştır. Kalite çemberlerinin kurularak sürekli iyileştirme çalışmaları başlatılmış, ve bir dönem boyunca uygulanmıştır. Bu uygulama sonucunda öğrencileri başarı durumları karşılaştırılmış ve başarılarının yükseldiği gözlenmiştir. Öğrenciler bu çalışmalardan memnun olduklarını bu çalışmalara devam etmek istediklerini belirtmişlerdir.

The changes that occurs in the social life as parallel to the developments in science and technology increase the needs of education. Knowledge is the most important determinor in these developments. The responsibilities of the foundation of education which produces and provides the knowledge, increases at a great amount. Occupational and technical education which is equipped with the knowledge and skills that are planned according to the needs of the country, which provide the source of work power that will increase the productivity in economics, which will decrease the cost and crowd in higher education, needs continuous progress in order to reach the development in technology. Increasing the numbers of occupational high schools and the changes that appear because of this reason define their roles again, force them to use their sources more efficiently and to make account of how they could reach their purposes. The effort for reaching the dynamics of continuous changes develops models which can evaluate the aim, the resource and the success that is provided in an active way. The most maintained model between the others is The Total Quality Management Approach In this research it is tried to be defined the effect of improvement process studies in the application of the Total Quality Management to the occupational high schools in increasing the success of the students. In the first parts of the research the Total Quality Management, quality circles, the tools that are used in quality circles and the occupational technical education is written according to the literature survey. By building up the quality circles, the studies of improvement process have been started and practiced during the whole term. As a result of this practice, the success of the students has been compared and it is seen that their success has increased. The students have stated that they are pleased with the studies and they want to go on with them.
