Abstract
Günümüz film jenerikleri sinema, grafik tasarım ve dijital medyanın bileşiminin temsilcisi gibidir. Özelikle Hollywood filmlerinde jenerik tasarımı; ses, tipografi ve imajın bileşimiyle filmin ana temasını izleyiciye hissettiren

Grafik tasarımsal öğelerin, (tipografi, fotoğraf, film vs) dijital ortamın getirdiği farklı uygulama imkanlarıyla, filmin konusu, türü ve akışına yön verebilmektedir. 21. yüzyılın teknolojik gelişimi film jeneriklerinde tipografi ve görüntü üzerine getirilen tasarımsal bileşim imkânlarıyla, hızla endüstri haline gelmesine sebep olmuştur. Bu gelişimi incelemek için öncellikle jenerik tasarım tarihine 1950’lerden itibaren bakmak ve teknolojinin tasarımsal öğeleri kullanmak ve geliştirmekteki etkilerini araştırmak amaçlanmıştır. Öncü film jenerik tasarımları ve tasarımcılarından dönemlere göre örnekler vererek günümüz jenerik tasarımının ulaştığı noktayı gözler önüne sermek hedeflenmiştir. SUMMARY Contemporary film generics appear to represent the combination of cinematic graphic design and innovative digital media. The graphic design of today’s film generics, especially Hollywood film generics, are presentations of summaries that first allow the audience to feel the idea of the film through the combination of sound, typography and image. The graphic design elements, which include a different but sensitive way of presenting movement and the subject, bring all aspects of the film together in a digital environment. The design possibilities of the 21st century technological developments that unite typography, and image in film generics, have been the reason that this unusual, limited field has become a huge, fast developing industry. To examine the reasons behind this development, I first want to research film generic design from the 1950’s onwards, then take a look at the use of technological design elements and finally discover the developing effects. In providing examples of vanguard generic designs by top designers, according to periods, my goal is to bring to light how contemporary film generic design has reached the important place it holds today.
