Sanat tarihi açısından mukaddes emânetler hazînesindeki Süyûf-ı mübâreke

Abstract

Mübârek emanetler Hz. Peygamber’e (s.a.s) ve ashâbına ait olan ya da dinen manevi değer taşıyan eşyalardır. Süyûf-ı mübâreke mübârek emanetlerden olup Hz. Peygamber’den ve sahabelerden miras kalan kılıçlardır. İslam’ın erken dönemlerinden günümüze kadar pek çok İslam devletinin himayesinde bulunan bu mübârek emanetler özenle korunarak günümüze ulaştırılmıştır. Özellikle Osmanlı Devleti mübârek emanetlerin korunması ve bakımı konusuna çok ihtimam göstermiştir. Bu çalışmada Topkapı Sarayında, Mukaddes Emanetler Dairesinde bulunan Milli Saraylar Mukaddes Emanetler Koleksiyonu ve Silah Koleksiyonunda yer alan süyûf-ı mübâreke görsellerine yer verilerek bu eserler tarih ve tezyînat bakımından incelenmiştir. Desenlerde dikkat çeken motiflerin tarihi ve ihtiva ettikleri anlamlar açıklanmıştır. Erken dönemden başlayarak Osmanlı dönemine kadar İslam sanat tarihinden izler barındıran ve bu dönemler arası adeta bir köprü vazifesi gören bu kılıçlar hakkında ayrıntılı bilgiler içeren bir kaynak oluşturulmaya çalışılmıştır.

The sacred trusts are relics belonging to the Prophet (p.b.u.h.) and his companions and carry great spiritual significance. The sacred swords are a part of these sacred trusts and refer to the swords inherited from the Prophet and his companions. These sacred trusts, which have been safeguarded by the numerous ruling dynasties of Islam, were preserved with great care up to the present. In particular, the Ottomans spent great efforts for the safeguarding and preservation of these sacred trusts. In this study, the swords found in the National Palaces Sacred Trusts Collection and the Weapons Collection at Topkapi Palace Sacred Trusts Chamber have been examined from a historical and ornamental perspective with the inclusion of the relevant visuals. The history and symbolic significance of the salient motifs in these designs have been discussed. This study has aimed to become a source on these swords, which serve as a bridge connecting the earliest periods of Islamic art to the later Ottoman period with the marks they carry from all periods in-between.
