Öğretmenlerin Eğitim Sistemi ve Uygulamalarına İlişkin Güncel sorunları algılama düzeylerinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, öğretmenlerin eğitim sistemi ve uygulamalarına ilişkin güncel sorunları algılama düzeylerini belirlemektir. Araştırma, öğretmenlerin sorunları algılama düzeylerinin belirlenmesine dair verilerin betimlenmesine yönelik olduğu için, genel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini İstanbul ili Bayrampaşa ve Esenler’de görevli 3767 öğretmen; örneklemini ise, evrenden rastgele seçilen 360 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Eğitim Sorunlarını Algılama Ölçeği ile elde edilen veriler yüzde, frekans, ortalama; cinsiyet, ödül durumu ve hizmet içi eğitim durumu t testi ve yaş, mesleki kıdem ve eğitim durumu tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) ile çözümlenmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlara göre, öğretmenler eğitim sistemi ve uygulamalarına ilişkin güncel sorunları, fiziki durum, yönetim, program ve özlük hakları alt boyutlarında ve genel olarak “tam” düzeyinde algılamışlardır. Okulun fiziki koşullarında, öğretmenlerin özlük haklarında, yöneticilerin davranışlarında ve programda düzenlemelere gidilmelidir.

The purpose of this study is to find teachers’ level of perception about problems related to current educational system and its practices. As the study aims to describe data related to teachers’ level of perception of problems, general survey method was used. In this manner, the population is represent 3767 teachers currently working in Bayrampaşa and Esenler townships in Istanbul province and 360 teachers were selected randomly for the sampling of the study. The data gathered through an Educational Problems Perception Scale and the data were analyzed using percentage, frequency, mean, gender, award conditions, and in-service training conditions by t-test and age, seniority, and educational conditions by one way ANOVA. The findings show that teachers perceive the problems about current educational system and practices, physical condition, management, program, and personal rights “completely well” in all sub-categories and the whole scale in general. Therefore, arrangements should be made in the physical conditions of schools, teachers’ personnel rights, administrators’ behaviors and the curriculum itself.
