Publication: Politik yeti ve örgütsel bağlılık arasındaki ilişki : yöneticiler üzerine bir araştırma
Abstract
POLİTİK YETİ VE ÖRGÜTSEL BAĞLILIK ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİ: Yöneticiler Üzerine Bir Araştırma Çalışmanın amacı, son yıllarda uluslararası literatürde ilgi çeken bir konu olan, yöneticilerin politik yetileri ile örgütsel bağlılıkları arasında bir ilişki olup olmadığının tespit edilmesidir. Araştırmanın verileri İstanbul ilinde, 12 farklı sektörde anket yöntemi uygulanarak elde edilmiştir. Katılımcıların politik yeti seviyelerini ölçmek amacıyla, Salim Atay tarafından Türkçe’ye standardize edilen, 18 soruluk “Politik Yeti Envanteri” kullanılmıştır. Katılımcıların örgütsel bağlılık seviyelerini ölmek amacıyla ise Arzu Wasti tarafından Türkçe’ye adaptasyonu sağlanan 33 soruluk “Örgütsel Bağlılık Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Analizler sonucunda yöneticilerin politik yetilerinin, duygusal ve normatif bağlılıklarıyla ve genel olarak da örgütsel bağlılıklarıyla pozitif yönde ilişkili olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bunun yanında yöneticilerin örgütsel bağlılıkları ile politik yetinin bir boyutu olan kişilerarası etki yeteneği arasında pozitif yönde bir ilişki olduğu görülmüştür. Son olarak, politik yetinin bir boyutu olan sosyal beceriklilik ile normatif bağlılık arasında pozitif yönde bir ilişki olduğu ve yine politik yetinin bir boyutu olan kişilerarası etki yeteneği ile duygusal bağlılık ve normatif bağlılık arasında da pozitif yönde bir ilişki olduğu görülmüştür. Bu bulgulara ilave olarak, yöneticilerin demografik ve iş deneyimi bilgilerinin, politik yetileri ve örgütsel bağlılıklarıyla ilişkili olup olmadığı incelenmiş ve önemli olduğu düşünülen bulgulara ulaşılmıştır.
THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN POLITICAL SKILL AND ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT: A Research on Managers The purpose of this study is to ascertain that if there is a relationship between the managers political skills and organizational commitments which is recently an interesting subject in literature. Research data have been obtained by applying questionnaires for twelve different sectors in İstanbul. To evaluate the political skill levels of the participants, “Political Skill Inventory” which consists of 18 questions and was standardized to Turkish by Selim Atay, was used. To measure the organizational commitment levels of the participants, “Organizational Commitment Measure” which was adapted to Turkish by Arzu Wasti, was used. Consequently, it was determined that the managers’ political skills are related to affective and normative commitments and are generally associated with the organizational commitments in a positive manner. Moreover, it was seen that there is a positive relationship between managers’ organizational commitments and interpersonal influence skills which constitute a dimension of political skills. Finally, there is also a positive relationship between normative commitment and social astuteness which constitues another dimension of the political skills and also it was seen that there is a positive relationship between interpersonal influence skills and affective and normative commitments. In addition to these evidences, it was examined if there is a relationship among the managers’ demographic and bussiness experiences, political skills and organizational commitments and some important results were obtained by the analysis.
