Publication: Türkiye’de fizik eğitiminin gelişiminin lisansüstü tezler bağlamında incelenmesi
Abstract
Bu araştırma, Türkiye’deki 7 üniversitede 1982-2022 yılları arasında fizik eğitimi alanında tamamlanmış olan lisansüstü çalışmaların sistematik bir analizi yapılarak fizik eğitiminin gelişimini ortaya çıkarmayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu bağlamda YÖKTEZ merkezinden ve 7 üniversitenin tez arşiv sitelerinden ulaşılan lisansüstü tezlerin; konularına, alanlarına hazırlandığı üniversitelere, türüne, yıllara, kullanılan dile, örneklem çeşidine, örneklem büyüklüğüne, araştırma yöntemine, veri toplama araçlarına ve veri analiz çeşidine göre incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın evreni Türkiye’de fizik eğitimi alanında yapılmış lisansüstü tezlerdir. Örneklemi ise 1982-2022 yılları arasında 7 üniversitede fizik eğitimi alanında, YÖKTEZ merkezinden ve 7 üniversitenin tez arşiv sitelerinden ulaşılan 299 lisansüstü tez oluşturur. İlgili tezleri sınıflandırmak için literatürden faydalanarak geliştirilen Tez İnceleme Formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçları tezlerin genellikle Türkçe olduğunu ve en fazla tezin 2019 yılında yazıldığını göstermektedir. Tezler üniversite bağlamında incelendiğinde en çok yazılan tezlerin Gazi Üniversitesi’ne ait olduğu görülmüştür. Tezlerin büyük kısmının yüksek lisans tezleri oluşturduğu, konu olarak en çok “öğretim” konusunun tercih edildiği görülmüştür. İncelenen tezlerde fizik alanı olarak “dinamik” ve “elektrik” alanına sıklıkla yer verilmiştir. Tezlerde örneklem grubu olarak en çok “lise” grubunun, örneklem büyüklüğü olarak “31-100 kişi” tercih edildiği görülmüştür. Ayrıca araştırma yöntemi bakımından incelendiğinde en çok nicel çalışmalara rastlanılmış ve 6 veri toplama aracından en çok “başarı testi” nin kullanıldığı görülmüştür. Yine en sık kullanılan veri analiz yönteminin nicel analiz yöntemleri olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Tezlerde kullanılan danışmanlar ve tez başlıklarında kullanılan anahtar kelimelerin VOSviewer programıyla görselleştirilerek daha detaylı incelemesi yapılmış ve en sık kullanılan anahtar kelimelerin “fizik eğitimi”, “fizik öğretimi” ve “fizik dersi” olduğu, “fizik”, “öğrenci” ve “okul” anahtar kelimelerinin tez başlıklarında sıklıkla kullanıldığı tespit edilmiştir.
This research aims to reveal the development of physics education by making a systematic analysis of postgraduate studies completed in the field of physics education at 7 universities in Turkey between 1982 and 2022. In this context, graduate theses accessed from YÖKTEZ center and the thesis archive sites of 7 universities; It was examined according to its subjects, fields, universities where it was prepared, type, years, language used, sample type, sample size, research method, data collection tools and data analysis type. The population of the study is postgraduate theses written in the field of physics education in Turkey. The sample consists of 299 postgraduate theses in the field of physics education from 7 universities between 1982 and 2022, accessed from the YÖKTEZ center and the thesis archive sites of 7 universities. The Thesis Review Form, developed using the literature, was used to classify the relevant theses. The research results show that theses are generally in Turkish and most theses were written in 2019. When the theses were examined in the context of the university, it was seen that the most written theses belonged to Gazi University. It has been observed that the majority of theses are master's theses, and the subject of teaching is the most preferred subject. In the theses examined, the fields of dynamics and electricity were frequently included as fields of physics. It was observed that the high school group was most preferred as the sample group in the theses, and 31-100 people was preferred as the sample size. In addition, when examined in terms of research method, it was seen that the most quantitative studies were encountered and the achievement test was used most among the 6 data collection tools. Again, it was determined that the most frequently used data analysis method was quantitative analysis methods. The used in theses, advisors and thesis titles were visualized with the VOSviewer program and examined in more detail, and the most frequently used were physics education, physics teaching and physics course, physics, student and It has been determined that the school are frequently used in thesis titles.
