Milliyetçi Demokrasi Partisi'nin siyasi faaliyetleri

Abstract

Türkiye 1970’li yılları sosyal, siyasal ve ekonomik bunalımlarla geçirdi. Ülkedeki bunalım kutuplaşmayı arttırarak iç savaş koşullarının oluşmasını sağladı. Kendisini ülkenin kurtarıcısı olarak gören ordu, 12 Eylül 1980 tarihinde yönetime el koydu. Bu dönemde siyasal partiler kapatıldı, demokratik hak ve özgürlükler askıya alındı, binlerce insan gözaltına alındı ve işkence gördü. 12 Eylül öncesi yaşananları 1961 Anayasasıyla ilişkilendiren ordu, fazla demokratik bulduğu 1961 Anayasasının yerine yürütmenin güçlendirildiği, demokratik taleplerin göz ardı edildiği 1982Anayasası’nı hazırladı. Anayasa ile birlikte Kenan Evren Cumhurbaşkanı olurken Milli Güvenlik Konseyi(MGK) Anayasal bir kurum haline geldi. Ayrıca eski siyasetçilere on yıl siyaset yasağı getirildi.

Turkey has spent the 70’s through social, political and economical depression. Depression in the country increased the polarization and provided the conditions for a civil war. Military seeing itself as the rescuer of the country, took the control of the country at 12 September 1980. Political parties were shut down, democratic rights and freedoms were suspended, thousands of people incarcerated and tortured during this period. Military, relating the events happened before September 12 with the constitıtion of 1961 which it considers “too democratic”, prepared the constitution of 1982 in which executive powers were supplemented and democratic demands were ignored. With the new constitution, Kenan Evren became the President and National Security Council has turned into a Constitutional Body. Other than that former politicians were banned from doing politics for 10 years.
