Abstract

MİKRO VE MAKRO ETKİLERİ YÖNÜNDEN ELEKTRİKLİ OTOMOBİLLER (TÜRKİYE EKONOMİSİ ÖRNEĞİ) Ayfer USTABAŞ sat Danışman: Prof. Dr. Müfit Akyüz Haziran, 2013 Otomotiv, ekonomik büyümeyi sağlayan en önemli endüstrilerden bir tanesi olarak kabul edilmektedir. Bu endüstrinin gelişmesi, bağlantılı olduğu diğer sektörlerin de gelişimine neden olmaktadır. Tarihi 1800’lü yıllara dayanan elektrikli otomobiller, otomotiv endüstrisinin dönüm noktalarından biri olan İçten Yanmalı Motorların 1920’li yıllar sonrasında yaygınlaşması ile eski önemini yitirmiştir. Öte yandan, 2000’li yıllarda, fosil yakıt rezervlerinin azalması, fiyatlarının istikrarsızlaşması ve çevre üzerindeki olumsuz etkileri ile ilgili bilinçlenmenin artması sonucunda alternatif yakıtlı araçlar ve bunlardan biri olan elektrikli otomobiller tekrar gündeme gelmiştir. Elektrikli otomobillerin otomotiv endüstrisindeki yeri ve önemi birçok tartışmalara konu olmaktadır. Çalışmanın amacı, elektrikli otomobillerin Türkiye ekonomisine katkılarını araştırmaktır. Bu amaçla, elektrikli otomobillerin 2012-2017 satış hedefleri doğrultusunda Türkiye ekonomisi üzerinde yaratacakları muhtemel mikro ve makro temelli etkiler araştırılmıştır. Türkiye’nin yanı sıra dünyanın diğer bölgelerinin elektrikli otomobiller ile ilgili faaliyetleri genel olarak incelenmiştir. Çalışma, ayrıca otomotiv sektörü yöneticilerinin elektrikli otomobiller konusundaki görüşlerini bir araya getiren bir alan araştırmasını içermektedir. Elde edilen sonuçlar, elektrikli otomobillerin özellikle çevre üzerinde olumlu etkilere sahip olacağıdır. Araçların yedek parçalarının ve özellikle bataryalarının yurt içinde üretilmesi durumunda dış ticaret üzerindeki olumlu etkiler de artmaktadır. Son olarak, elektrik kaynağının yurt içindeki yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarından üretilmesi durumunda elektrikli otomobillerin olumlu etkileri en üst seviyeye çıkmaktadır. MICRO AND MACRO EFFECTS OF ELECTRIC CARS (THE CASE OF THE TURKISH ECONOMY) Ayfer USTABAŞ sat Danışman: Prof. Dr. Müfit Akyüz June, 2013 Automotive is considered to be one of the most important industries providing the economic growth. The development of this industry, leads to the development of other sectors linked to automotive. History of electric cars based on the late 1800s, has lost its importance after the 1920s because of the spread of internal combustion engines that is one of the turning points in the automotive industry. On the other hand, in the 2000s, as a result of reduction of fossil fuel reserves and the destabilization of their prices and increased awareness of the negative effects on the environment, alternative fuel vehicles and electric cars, have been emerged again. The importance of electric cars has been the subject of many discussions in the automotive industry. The aim of this study is to research the contribution of electric cars in Turkey's economy. Along with this purpose, micro and macro based effects of electric cars that they are likely to cause on Turkey's economy in line with sales targets in 2012-2017 are investigated. Besides Turkey, economic activities about electric cars of world's other regions are researched are investigated in general. The study includes also a field research that brings together the opinions of the automotive sector managers about electric cars. The findings obtained indicate that electric cars will have a positive impact particularly on the environment. In case of the production of spare parts and especially of batteries belonging to electrical vehicles in the country, is also increasing its positive impact on foreign trade. Finally, in case of the supply of the electricity from renewable energy sources in the country the positive effects of electric cars of the production comes the highest level.
