Publication: İskandinav Sineması ve Joachim Trier'in Oslo üçlemesinin incelemesi
Abstract
Bu tez çalışmasında, çağdaş Norveç sinemasının önde gelen yönetmenlerinden biri olan Joachim Trier’in Oslo üçlemesine bir bakış sunulmaktadır. Son yıllarda İskandinav sineması uluslararası alanda önem kazanmaya başlamıştır. İskandinav coğrafyasının köklü kültürel yapısının ve ülkelerin özgürlükçü politikalarının etkileri sinemaya da yansımaktadır. Bu bakımdan çağdaş İskandinav sineması insanı ve insanın özüne ilişkin konuları ele alma biçimiyle özel bir konumdadır. Çalışmanın ilk kısmında, çağdaş bir İskandinav sineması örneği olarak Oslo üçlemesinin yerini daha iyi anlayabilmek için İskandinav kavramına, ülkelerine, sinemasının genel özelliklerine ve ulusal sinemaların tarihçelerine odaklanılmıştır. İkinci kısımda ise Norveçli yönetmen Joachim Trier ve sinemasının genel özellikleri ele alınmıştır. Bu bağlamda Trier’in sinemasında öne çıkan nostalji, melankoli, karamsarlık, yalnızlık, varoluşçuluk ve yabancılaşma kavramlarının tarihsel olarak ortaya çıkışı ve farklı düşünürler ile bilim insanlarının bu kavramlara ilişkin yorumları tartışılmıştır. Çalışmanın son kısmında Trier’in Oslo üçlemesinde yer alan filmlerin detaylı analizleri yapılmıştır. Auteur film analizi yöntemi kullanılarak yönetmenin üçlemesindeki ortak temalar belirlenmiş ve filmler, bu temalar üzerinden incelenmiştir.
In this thesis, a look at the Oslo trilogy of Joachim Trier, one of the leading directors of contemporary Norwegian cinema, is presented. In recent years, Scandinavian cinema has begun to gain importance in the international arena. The effects of the deep-rooted cultural structure of the Scandinavian geography and the liberal policies of the countries are also reflected in the cinema. In this respect, contemporary Scandinavian cinema is in a special position with the way it deals with human and human essence issues. In the first part of the study, the Scandinavian concept, its countries, the general characteristics of its cinema and the histories of national cinemas are focused in order to better understand the place of the Oslo trilogy as an example of contemporary Scandinavian cinema. In the second part, the general features of the Norwegian director Joachim Trier and his cinema are discussed. In this context, the historical emergence of the concepts of nostalgia, melancholy, pessimism, loneliness, existentialism and alienation, which stand out in Trier's cinema, and the interpretations of different thinkers and scientists on these concepts are discussed. In the last part of the study, detailed analyzes of the films in Trier's Oslo trilogy were made. By using the auteur film analysis method, the common themes in the director's trilogy were determined and the films were examined over these themes.
