Abstract

298 NUMARALI ŞER'İYE SİCİLİ DEFTERİNE GÖRE BİTLİS'İN EKONOMİK, SOSYAL VE DİNİ DURUMU Marmara Üniversitesi, Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü, İlâhiyat Tarihi Bilim Dalı sayfa, Haziran 2007 Danışman: Prof. Dr. Ziya Kazıcı Bu tezin amacı, 298 No’lu Bitlis Şer‘iye Sicil Defteri vasıtasıyla Bitlis şehri’nin ekonomik, sosyal ve dini durumunu incelemektir. Tezimizi 298 No’lu Bitlis Şer‘iye Sicil Defteri dışında Araştırma-inceleme eserler ile Mahalli kaynaklara dayandırdık. Tez, girişle beraber beş bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde, şer‘iye sicilleriyle Osmanlı öncesi ve Osmanlı sonrası Bitlis şehrinin tarihî durumuna değinilmiştir. İkinci bölümde, Bitlis şehrinin idarî durumu ve mahkeme görevlileri ile Bitlis şehrinin köyleri, mahalleleri ele alınmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde, Bitlis’in ekonomik durumu ile alakalı ticarî durum, şehirdeki esnaflar, tarım ve hayvancılık alanlarındaki faaliyetler ele alınmıştır. Dördüncü bölümde, Bitlis sosyal hayatı içerisinde kadın ve çocuk haklarının korunması, gayr-i Müslimlerin haklarının muhafazası ve Osmanlı toplumundaki yerleri ile şehir yapısı ve aile hayatı ele alınmıştır. Son bölümde ise cami-mescid ve görevlileri, eğitim kurumları ve görevlileri, vakıflar hakkında kısa bilgi ve Bitlis şehrinin dini durumu ele alınmıştır.

THE ECONOMIC, SOCIAL, AND RELIGIOUS STATE OF BİTLİS BASED ON THE SHARIA PUBLIC REGISTER BOOK NO.298 Marmara University, the Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Theology, the Master of Art Thesis on Islamic History, 397 pages, June 2007 Prof. Dr. Ziya Kazıcı The purpose of the thesis is to investigate the economic, social, and religious state of the city of Bitlis through the Bitlis Sharia Public Register Book No.298. Besides the Bitlis Sharia Public Register Book No.298, the thesis is also based on various research and investigation studies as well as local sources. The thesis is composed of five chapters including the preamble. In the preamble, the sharia registers, pre-Ottoman and post-Ottoman history of the city of Bitlis is mentioned. In the chapter two, the administrative status, the court personnel, villages and neighborhoods of the city of Bitlis is cited. In the chapter three, the commercial affairs with regard to the Bitlis economy, its tradesmen, agriculture and livestock are stated. In the chapter four, the protection and women and children rights within the social life of Bitlis, protection of non-muslim people’s rights and their place in the Ottoman society as well as the structure of the city and family life. In the concluding chapter, mosques and their personnel, educational institutions and their personnel, religious outlook of the city of Bitlis is mentioned while giving brief information on the charitable foundations
