Publication: Çocuk kütüphanelerinde okul öncesi dönem için hizmet modeli
Abstract
Halk kütüphanelerinde çocuklara ve ailelere verilen hizmetler, kütüphanelerin toplumsal ve teknolojik gelişmelere bağlı olarak değişmesiyle birlikte, kütüphanelerin gelecek yıllarda daha verimli kullanılabilmesi adına artık çok daha önemli bir rol oynamaktadır. Dolayısıyla da çocuk kütüphaneleri, toplumsal ve teknolojik değişiklikleri takip ederek, çocukların ve ailelerin ilgilerini çekecek nitelikli hizmetler ortaya koymalıdır. Çalışmanın konusu, Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı (KTB) Kütüphaneler ve Yayımlar Genel Müdürlüğüne (KYGM) bağlı il halk kütüphaneleri ve çocuk kütüphanelerinin, okul öncesi dönem çocukları için uygun nitelikte olup olmadığını araştırmak ve bu araştırmalar sonunda kütüphanelerde okul öncesi dönem çocuklarına sunulacak hizmetler için bir model ortaya koymaktır.Bu çalışma, okul öncesi dönem çocukları ve ailelerinin kütüphanelerde daha kaliteli vakit geçirebilmelerini sağlayabilecek etkinlik ve uygulamaları hayata geçirebilmek adına, çocukların ve ailelerin gereksinimleri göz önünde bulundurularak yapılmıştır.Bu kapsamda, ilk önce çocuk kütüphaneleri hakkında bilgilere değinilmiş, ardından Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı Kütüphaneler ve Yayımlar Genel Müdürlüğüne bağlı il halk kütüphanelerinde, okul öncesi dönem çocuklar ve aileleri için verilen hizmetlerin bugünkü durumu tespit edilmiş ve araştırma sonucunda elde edilen verilerle bir hizmet modeli sunulmuştur.
The services provided to children and families in public libraries now play a much more important role in terms of the more efficient use of libraries in the coming years, as libraries change due to their social and technological development. Therefore, children's libraries should provide quality services that can attract the attention of children and families by following social and technological changes. The subject of the study is to investigate whether the provincial public libraries and children's libraries affiliated to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism General Directorate of Libraries and Publications are suitable for preschool children and to present a model for preschool children.This study was carried out considering the needs of children and families in order to implement activities and practices that will enable preschool children and their families to spend more quality time in libraries.In this context, firstly, information about children's libraries was mentioned, then the current status of the services provided for the preschool and families period in the provincial public libraries affiliated to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism General Directorate of Libraries and Publications was determined and a service model was presented with the data obtained as a result of the research.
