Publication: SAE 304L ostenitik paslanmaz çeliklerin tek V alın kaynak dikişlerinin optimum ultrasonik muayene koşulları
Abstract
SAE 304 L paslanmaz çelik levhalara 45º ve 60º alın kaynak ağzı açılmış ve ASP 308L elektrotları ile sıfır hatalı kaynaklar yapılmıştır. Kaynak metaline ve ITAB' a dairesel ve çentik şeklinde yapay hatalar açılmıştır. Bu hataların farklı problar ve prob konumlarında yapılan ultrasonik muayenelerinden aşağıdaki sonuçlar elde edilmiştir. Yapılan deneyler ve ölçümlerden elde edilen genel sonuçlar aşağıdadır: 1.Kaynak metalinin dışında kalan hatalar, enine dalga üreten problarla daha iyi dedekte edilebilmektedir. 2.Enine dalga üreten problarla ölçüm yapılırken, prob açısının 45º olması, yarım sekme adımı ile test konumundan ve 4 MHz' lik problarla diğerlerine nazaran daha iyi sonuçlar alınmıştır. 3.Boyuna dalga üreten problar kaynak metali içersindeki hataları dedekte etmede iyi sonuçlar vermiştir. 4.Boyuna dalga üreten problarda prob açısı ve frekans azaldıkça hataları daha iyi dedekte edilebilme sonuçları alınmıştır.
45º and 60º single V groove welding was applied to SAE 304L austenitic stainless steel plates. ASP 308L electrodes were used in the welding. After each weld liquid Penetrant examination was applied. After completing the welding radiographich examination was done. There were no discontinuities in the weldments. Holes and notches were drilled to obtain discontinuities. Then ultrasonic examination was done. Different type probes were used in the examination. The following results were obtained from the experiments: 1.The defects which are present in the heat affected zone were beter detected by transversal wave probes. 2.The transversal wave probes which has 45º probe angle and 4 MHz frequnency gave beter results than other transversal wave probes. 3.Longitudinal wave were superior to detect the defect of the weld metal. 4.In longitudinal probes beter results were obtained with smaller frequency and probe angle.
