Abstract
Fransa’daki ortaokullarda okutulan ahlak ve vatandaşlık eğitimi ders kitaplarının incelenmesi
amacıyla gerçekleştirilen bu çalışma nitel araştırma prosedürlerine uygun olarak tasarlanmış ve
tamamlanmıştır. Bu kapsamsa çalışmada doküman analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada
Fransa ortaokullarında 2022-2023 eğitim öğretim yılında/yıllarında kullanılan ahlak ve vatandaşlık
eğitimi ders kitapları incelenmiştir. Araştırmada verilerinin çözümlenmesinde içerik analizi yöntemi
kullanılmıştır. Bu süreçte ders kitapları ulusal kimlik, vatandaşlık, insan hakları, demokrasi, laiklik,
çok kültürlülük, Avrupa kimliği ve kültürü, çevre bilinci ve küresel sorunlar kategorileri kapsamında
analiz edilmiştir. İnceleme sonucunda: Ders kitaplarında yer alan öğelerin en fazla Vatandaşlık
kategorisi ile ilgili olduğu, Vatandaşlık kategorisinden sonra yazılı ve görsel öğelerin yoğun olarak
ilişkili olduğu kategorinin İnsan Hakları kategorisi olduğu, Demokrasi kategorisine yönelik öğelerin
üçüncü sırada geldiği görülmüştür. Ahlak ve vatandaşlık eğitimi ders kitaplarında sırasıyla Çevre
Bilinci ve Küresel Sorunlar, Ulusal Kimlik, Laiklik, Çok Kültürlülük, Avrupa Kimliği ve Kültürü
kategorilerine yönelik yazılı ve görsel öğelerin de yer aldığı tespit edilmiştir. Ancak yer alma sıklıkları
bakımından her birinin bütün kategoriler içerisindeki oranının %7 ile %2 arasında değiştiği
saptanmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına dayalı olarak Fransa’daki ortaokullarda okutulmakta olan
ahlak ve vatandaşlık eğitimi ders kitaplarına yönelik önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

This study, which was carried out to examine the moral and citizenship education textbooks taught in French secondary schools from various perspectives, was designed and completed in accordance with qualitative research procedures. In this context, the document analysis method was used in the study. In the research, moral and citizenship education textbooks used in the 2022-2023 academic year/years in French secondary schools were examined. In the research, content analysis method was used to analyze the data. In this process, the textbooks were analyzed under the categories of national identity, citizenship, human rights, democracy, secularism, multiculturalism, European identity and culture, environmental awareness and global problems. As a result of the analysis: It has been seen that the items in the textbooks are mostly related to the Citizenship category. After the Citizenship category here comes the Human Rights category with which written and visual items are heavily related and the items for the Democracy category come in the third place. In the moral and citizenship education textbooks, it has been determined that there are written and visual items for the categories of Environmental Awareness and Global Issues, National Identity, Secularism, Multiculturalism, European Identity and Culture, respectively. However, it has been determined that the rate of each of them in all categories varies between 7% and 2% in terms of their frequency of occurrence. Based on the results of the research, suggestions were made for the moral and citizenship education textbooks taught in secondary schools in France.
