HERBERT SPENCER'DE EVRİM FELSEFESİ Kadim Doğu Düşüncesi'nden modern dönem Batı felsefesi'ne kadar bir çok filozof tarafından varlığı izah etme yöntemi olarak kabul edilen evrim, Charles Darwin ile biyolojik evrim teorisi halini almış ve 19. yüzyılda bilhassa Herbert Spencer ile bu teori tüm insanî ilimlere teşmil edilmiştir. Herbert Spencer evrimi sosyal ilimlerde de geçerli bir yasa kabul eder. Buna göre psikolojide aklın evrimi basit bir refleksten muhakeme kabiliyetine doğru ilerleme şeklindedir. Sosyolojide evrim toplumların ilkel kabilelerden endüstri devleti haline geçmesi yönündedir. Son olarak ahlâkın evrimi fiillerin bir amaca yönelik olmak bakımından 'iyi'ye evrimi söz konusudur. Böylece Spencer'in biyolojik evrimi daha geniş bir platforma taşıyıp sosyal alanı da fizik yasalarla izah ettiği, varlığın oluşumu ve gelişiminde metafizik bir gücü benimsemeyip fizik yasaları esas aldığı görülmüştür. According to this in phsycology the evolution of intelligence is a progress from a simple reflex to a reason ability. İn sociology the evolution is just like that societies changes to endustrial state from primitive tribes. At last the evolution of behaves to the 'good' as directed to an aim.
