Abstract
Akademik Özgürlük kavramı bilimin veya bilim adamının baskısız bir şekilde düşüncelerini ifade etmesi olarak insanlık tarihinin çok eski yıllarına götürülebilinse de genel olarak Wilhelm Von Humboldt’un 1810 yılında Almanya’da modern üniversitenin temellerini attığı döneme götürülmektedir.
Even though academic freedom, which is regarded as free communication of thoughts with no pressure, is traced back to early human societies, modern understanding of academic freedom is found in the notion of modern university which is conceptualized by Wilhelm Von Humboldt in Germany in 1810.
