dc.description.abstract	Bilgi teknolojisindeki gelişmeler, öğrenme ortamlarındaki yenilikler, yeni mimari yaklaşımlar, yeşil ve akıllı bina kavramlarının yaygınlaşması tüm mekân tasarımları gibi kütüphane mekân tasarımlarını da etkileyerek sürdürülebilir kütüphane kavramını ortaya çıkarmıştır. Sürdürülebilir kütüphaneler, ekolojik sistem, insan, bina mimarisi, kütüphane hizmetleri, teknolojik alt yapı ve ekipman gibi tüm unsurların dengeli ve uyumlu bir şekilde entegre edildiği ve gelecek nesillerin kullanımını da sağlayacak esnek bir biçimde tasarlandığı yapılar olarak yorumlanmaktadır. Dünyada bu tasarımın başarılı bir biçimde uygulandığı kütüphane örneklerinin olduğunu söylemek mümkündür. Ülkemizde ise, sürdürülebilir kütüphane mekânı tasarımı konusundaki çalışmaların nispeten yetersiz kaldığı, sürdürülebilir kütüphanelere ilişkin kriterlerin belirlenmediği gözlenmektedir. Bu çalışmada, literatürde yer alan sürdürülebilirlik kavramını kütüphanelerin yaşam döngüsüne göre değerlendirerek kütüphanelere özgü sürdürülebilirlik bileşenlerini ve kriterlerini ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Sürdürülebilir kütüphane uygulamalarının eksikliğinden ve standartlaşmanın sağlanamamasından dolayı ölçülebilir veriler elde etmede oldukça zorlanılacağı düşünüldüğünden bu çalışmada literatür taraması yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Literatür taraması ile öncelikle sürdürülebilir mekân tasarımı çalışmaları üzerinde araştırma yapılarak nitel veriler elde edilmiştir. Bu nitel verilerden hareketle kütüphanelerde sürdürülebilirlik 6 (altı) ana boyutta incelenmiştir. Sonuç olarak sürdürülebilirliğin 3 (üç) bileşeni olan çevre, ekonomi ve sosyal bileşenlere ek olarak kütüphanelere özgü yeni 10 kavram daha eklenmiş ve sürdürülebilir kütüphane mekanları 13 kriter çerçevesinde teorik bir temele dayandırılmıştır.	tr_tr
dc.description.abstract	Developments in information technology, innovations in learning environments, new architectural approaches, and the widespread use of green and smart building concepts have affected the library space designs like all space designs and revealed the concept of sustainable library. Sustainable libraries are interpreted as structures in which all elements such as the ecological system, human, building architecture, library services, technological infrastructure and equipment are integrated in a balanced and harmonious manner and designed in a flexible way that will enable the use of future generations. It is possible to say that there are examples of libraries in the world where this design has been successfully implemented. In our country, it is observed that the studies on sustainable library space design are relatively insufficient and the criteria for sustainable libraries are not determined. In this study, it is aimed to reveal the sustainability components and criteria specific to libraries by evaluating the concept of sustainability in the literature according to the life cycle of libraries. Since it is thought that it will be very difficult to obtain measurable data due to the lack of sustainable library practices and the lack of standardization, the literature review method was used in this study. Qualitative data were obtained by conducting research on sustainable space design studies with the literature review. Based on these qualitative data, sustainability in libraries was examined in 6 (six) main dimensions. As a result, in addition to the environmental, economic and social components, which are the 3 (three) components of sustainability, 10 new concepts specific to libraries have been added and sustainable library spaces have been based on a theoretical basis within the framework of 13 criteria.	tr_tr
