Abstract
Öğretmenin eğitimdeki rolü konusunda çeşitli görüşler bulunmakla birlikte öğrenci üzerindeki etkisi
yadsınamaz bir gerçektir. Eğitim-öğretim faaliyetlerinin bir boyutunu, öğretmen ve öğrenci arasındaki
karşılıklı etkileşim oluşturur. Tarih eğitiminin de bileşenlerinden birisi öğretmendir. Bu bağlamda
öğretmenin eğitimde ve özelde tarih eğitimindeki etkisini ve öğrencilerin gözünden durumunu
incelemek, tarih eğitimindeki öğretmen-öğrenci etkileşiminin değerlendirilmesine katkı sağlamış
olacaktır. Bu çalışmada, tarih öğretmen adaylarının geçmişteki tarih öğretmenleri ve uygulamaları
hakkındaki düşüncelerini ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada, nitel araştırmalarda kullanılan
amaçlı örnekleme yöntemine başvurulmuştur. Araştırma bir durum çalışması olduğundan katılımcı
sayısı nicel araştırmaya göre daha az tutulmuştur. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Marmara
Üniversitesinde öğrenim gören 12 tarih öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme
formu vasıtasıyla toplanan veriler, içerik analizi yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmanın sonuçlara
bakıldığında, katılımcıların bahsettikleri öğretmenlerinin ortaokul, lise ve dershanede görev yaptıkları
görülmüştür. Ayrıca katılımcılar, tarih öğretmenlerinin sınıf içi davranışları, ders işleyişleri,
kullandıkları öğretim yöntemleri hakkında örnekler üzerinden bilgiler vermiştir. Yine tarih
öğretmenlerinin derse karşı olan tutumları üzerinde görüş belirttikleri görülmüştür. Bunun yanı sıra
katılımcılar, tarih öğretmenlerinin meslek seçimlerindeki etkisi hakkında düşüncelerini ifade
etmişlerdir
Although there are various opinions about the role of the teacher in education, his/her effect on students is an undeniable fact. One dimension of education and training activities is the interaction between the teacher and the student. One of the components of history education is the teacher. In this context, examining the effect of the teacher in education and history education in particular and the situation from the students' perspective will contribute to the evaluation of teacher-student interaction in history education. In this study, it was aimed to reveal the thoughts of prospective history teachers about past history teachers and their practices. In the study, the purposeful sampling method used in qualitative research was applied. Since the research is a case study, the number of participants was kept lower than in quantitative research. The study group of the research consists of 12 history teacher candidates studying at Marmara University. The data collected through a semi-structured interview form were analysed by content analysis method. When the results of the study were analysed, it was seen that the teachers mentioned by the participants were working in secondary school, high school and in the classroom. In addition, the participants gave information about the in-class behaviours of history teachers, their teaching methods, and the teaching methods they used through examples. It was also seen that they expressed their opinions on history teachers' attitudes towards the course. In addition, the participants expressed their opinions about the effect of history teachers on their choice of profession.
