Abstract
Çalışmamız, Birleşmiş Milletler tarafından 20 Aralık 2018 tarihinde kabul edilen ve 7 Ağustos 2019 tarihinde Singapur’da imzaya açılanArabuluculuk Sonucunda Yapılan Milletlerarası Sulh Anlaşmaları Hakkında Birleşmiş Milletler Konvansiyonu’nun Türkçe tercümesindenoluşmaktadır. Kısaca “Singapur Konvansiyonu” olarak anılan Konvansiyon, Türkiye tarafından imzalanmıştır. Ayrıca Türkiye, yabancı sermaye yatırımlarının bir teşvik aracı olarak düşündüğü Singapur Konvansiyonu’nu hızlı bir şekilde onaylamayı planlamaktadır. Son yıllarda ResmiGazete’de yayınlanan milletlerarası antlaşmaların Türkçe tercümeleri,yalnızca kavramsal düzeyde değil içeriği de etkileyecek şekilde önemlihatalar içermektedir. Bu nedenle Singapur Konvansiyonu’nun Türkçetercümesinin gerek içerik gerekse kavramsal yönünden doğru bir şekilde yapılması önem taşımaktadır. Bu düşünceyle Singapur Konvansiyonu’nun Türkçe tercümesi yapılmıştır.
This study is the Turkish translation of the United Nations Convention on International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation adopted by the resolution of the General Assembly on 20 December 2018 and opened for signature in Singapore on 7 August 2019. Turkey is one of the Signatories States to the Convention which is also known as the “Singapore Convention”. As a tool to increase foreign capital investments, Turkey is also planning to ratify the Convention in an accelerated manner. The Turkish translations of the international treaties published in the Official Gazette in recent years contain significant errors that affect not only the conceptual level but also the content. For that reason, it is important that the Turkish translation of the Singapore Convention must be done accurately both in terms of concepts and contents. With this in mind, the Singapore Convention including the Preamble was translated into Turkish.
