Farklı Yöntemlerle Öğrenim Gören ÖğretmenAdaylarının Düşünme Stilleri Değişir mi?

Abstract

Düşünme stilleri kişinin düşünürken tercih ettiği yola işaret eden bir bireysel farklılık olarak görülmektedir. Yapılan pek çok araştırma bu stillerin çeşitli değişkenlere (cinsiyet, yaş, akademik disiplin, akademik seviye gibi) göre farklılaştığını ortaya koymuştur. Bu araştırmada düşünme stillerinin öğretmen yetiştirme alanında kullanılan öğretim yöntemlerine göre farklılaşma durumu incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla araştırmada farklı anabilim dallarında öğrenim gören794 öğretmen adayına, R. J Sternberg ve R. K Wagner (1992) tarafından geliştirilmiş Düşünme Stilleri Ölçeği ile araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilmiş Yöntem Belirleme Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Yapılan veri analizi sonucunda, farklı yöntemlerle öğrenim gören öğretmen adaylarının "yürütmeci" ve "aşamacı" düşünme stili ortalama puanlarında anlamlı bir farklılaşma olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

Thinking styles are regarded as a personal difference pointing out to the way preferred by the person when thinking. Many researchers so far put forth that these styles vary according to a range of variables (gender, age, academic discipline, academic level etc). In this research, the differentiation of thinking styles according to the methods of teaching when giving education on teaching was analyzed. To this end, for the 794 candidate teachers that receive education in various fields, the Thinking Styles Inventory developed by R. J Sternberg and R. K Wagner (1992) and the Method Determination Inventory developed by the researcher. As a result of the data analysis, it was detected that there is a meaningful differentiation in the average grades of students about the "executive" and "hierarchic" thinking style among the candidate teachers that receive education based on various methods
