Kültür-bellek bağlamında sümerbank porselen fabrikaları

Abstract

Ülkemizde Cumhuriyet’in kurulması ile hız kazanan ve Endüstri Devrimi dönemi olarak adlandırabileceğimiz süreç, sosyal-devlet projeleri kapsamında her alanda üretime yönelik fabrikaların kurulmasını sağlamıştır. 1933 yılında Atatürk’ün isteği üzerine kurulan Kamu İktisadi Teşekkülü, “Sümerbank” çatısı altında hayata geçmiştir. Ülkenin var olan hammadde kaynakları kullanılarak üretime başlayan bu fabrikalar sadece ülke ekonomisini ve endüstriyi canlandırmakla kalmamış; fabrika bünyesinde açılan okulları, sosyal tesisleri, kütüphaneleri, çalışan kadın istihdamı ile de toplumun sosyo-kültürel kimliğinde de aydınlanma devrimi yapmıştır. Ülkemizde farklı isimler altında modern seramik endüstrisinin kurulduğu bu süreçte, bu fabrikalarda görev alan eğitimli iş gücü ile de önemli bir ivme kazanacaktır. Bu gelişmeler ilerde akademik sanat eğitimi ile buluşacak; bu okullardan mezun olan sanatçıtasarımcı gençler ve “Sümerbank Eğitim Bursu” ile yurt dışına gönderilen ve mühendislik eğitimi alan gençlerin seramik endüstrisinde ve üniversitelerde görev almalarını sağlayacaktır. Diğer bağlamda yüzyıllar boyunca Avrupa’da ve ülkemizde saray ve soyluların günlük hayatta sofralarında kullandığı ve bir statü göstergesi olan “porselen” her eve girecek, toplumun sofra eşyası olarak porselen ile tanışması “Sümerbank Porselenleri” ile olacaktır. Bilim sanat ve teknolojinin tüm dünyada interdisipliner eğitim süreçleri ile hız kazanan gelişimi, ülkelerin ve toplumların sosyo-kültürel anlamda yeni kavramlar ve değerler ile tanışmasını sağlayarak modern yaşam alanlarımızı şekillendirmiştir. Ülkemizde Cumhuriyet dönemi ile hız kazanan tüm bu gelişmeler, üniversite-sanayi bağlamında da paralel bir gelişme göstermiştir. Kent mimarlığı, konut biçimleri alanlarını şekillendiren mimarlar gibi, estetik kaygılarımıza cevap verebilecek çağdaş sanatçı ve tasarımcıların seramik endüstrisinde yer almaları, çağdaş seramik sanatına da önemli bir ivme kazandırmıştır. Bu süreçte modern yaşam alanlarımız seramik ve porselenin teknik ve estetik özelliklerinin üretim süreci ile şekillendiği tasarım ürünler ile buluşmuş ve günümüz modern seramik teknolojileri ile kurulmuş olan seramik sektörüne öncülük etmiştir. Kentsel hafızayı oluşturan fiziksel, duygusal ve görsel bellek, insanın çocukluğundan itibaren yaşadığı çevresi ile doğrudan ilgilidir. Dokunduğu, gördüğü, duyumsadığı ve kavradığı tüm imgeler; sokaklar, binalar, fabrikalar, heykeller, meydanlar, parklar bireysel bellek ile doğrudan ilişki kurar ve bu ilişki yararlı bir şekilde sürekli evrilir. Kuşkusuz binlerce yıldan beri Anadolu topraklarında var olan seramik sanatının sürekli dönüşerek evrilmesi ve yeniden şekillenmesinin hikâyesidir, “Sümerbank porselenleri”. Gerek kullanım eşyası olarak gerekse bir sanat nesnesi olarak tüm içerikleri ile kültür-bellek bağlamında binlerce yıl yaşamımızda yer alacaktır.

The Industrial Revolution Period in our country gained speed by the establishment of the Turkish Republic and ensured the establishment of factories for production in every field within the scope of social state projects. In 1933 Public Enterprise was implemented under the roof of Sümerbank by Atatürk’s own will. These factories which started production by using the country’s existing raw material resources not only revived the country’s economy and industry; but also made an enlightenment revolution in the socio-cultural identity of the society with its schools, social facilities, libraries, working women’s employment and R&D studies opened within the factory. This process was established under different names and formed the foundations of the modern ceramic industry in our country and it will gain a significant momentum with the educated workforce working in these factories. These developments will meet with academic art education in the future; young artists and designers who graduate from these schools and young people who are sent abroad with the “Sümerbank Education Scholarship”for engineering education will take part in the ceramic industry and universities. 3 On the other hand, “porcelain, which has been used in daily life by palaces and nobles in Europe and our country for centuries and is a status indicator. Unique“Sümerbank Porcelains” will enter every home, and society will meet with beautiful porcelain tableware soon. All over the World, the accelerated development of science, art and technology with interdisciplinary education processes has shaped our modern life areas by enabling countries and societies to meet new concepts and values in socio-cultural terms. All these developments, which gained momentum with the Republican Period in our country, showed a parallel development in the context of university-industry production. The modern ceramic Technologies pioneered all over the worldparticipation of contemporary artists and designers in the ceramic industry who can respond to aesthetic concerns, such as the architects who shape the fields of urban architecture and housing forms has also given a significant impetus to the contemporary ceramic art. In this process, our modern living spaces met with design products in which the technical and aesthetic features of ceramics and porcelain were shaped by the production process and accelerated development of science, art and technology with interdisciplinary education processes and the ceramic industry, which was established with today’s modern ceramic technologies pioneered all over the world. The physical, emotional and visual memory that constitutes the urban memory is directly related to the environment in which a person has lived since childhood. All the images he touches, sees, feels and grasps; streets, buildings, factories, sculptures, squares, parks establish a direct relationship with individual memory and this relationship evolves in a beneficial way. Undoubtedly, “Sümerbank porcelains” are the story of the continuous transformation, evolution and reshaping of the ceramic art that has existed in Anatolian lands for thousands of years. It will take place in our lives for thousands of years in the context of culture-memory with all its contents, both as a use item and as an art object.
