Publication: Vahyî-zâde Mehmed İznikî ve Sahâifü’l-iber letâifü’s-siyer
Abstract
Vahyîzâde Mehmed Efendi 16. ve 17. yüzyılları idrak etmiş, özellikle Arap Dili ve Belâgati alanındaki çalışmalarıyla meşhur âlim ve sûfî bir şahsiyettir. Çalışma, Vahyîzâde Mehmed Efendi ve Sahâifü'l-iber letâifü's-siyer isimli tercüme eseri üzerine odaklanmaktadır. Siyer-i Nebi türündeki bu eserin aslı Saidüddîn Kâzerûnî tarafından Arapça kaleme alınan el-Müntekā fi mevlidi nebiyyi'l-Mustafâ'dır. Vahyîzâde Mehmed Efendi, mezkûr eseri müellifin oğlu Afîfüddîn Kâzerûnî tarafından hazırlanan Farsça tercümesi üzerinden Türkçeye kazandırmıştır. Çalışma, Vahyîzâde Mehmed Efendinin hayatı ve Sahâifü'l-iber letâifü's-siyer eserini temel almakla birlikte etraflı ve bütüncül bir araştırma sunmak maksadıyla Arapça orijinal metin ve Türkçe tercümede esas alınan Farsça çeviri de incelemeye dâhil edilmiştir.
Vahyîzâde Mehmed Efendi was a renowned scholar and Sufi who lived through the 16th and 17th centuries, particularly known for his works in Arabic Language and Rhetoric. This study focuses on Vahyîzâde Mehmed Efendi and his translated work titled Sahâifü'l-iber letâifü's-siyer. The original work of this genre, known as Siyer-i Nebi, was written in Arabic by Saidüddîn Kâzerûnî and is titled el-Müntekā fi mevlidi Nebiyyi'l-Mustafâ. Vahyîzâde Mehmed Efendi translated this work into Turkish based on the Persian translation prepared by the author's son, Afîfüddîn Kâzerûnî. While the study primarily revolves around the life of Vahyîzâde Mehmed Efendi and his work Sahâifü'l-iber letâifü's-siyer, it also aims to provide a comprehensive and holistic analysis by including examinations of the original Arabic text and the Persian translation used in the Turkish rendition.
