Abstract
Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, ortaokula devam eden ergenlerin okul motivasyonunda internet bağımlılığı düzeylerinin ve başa çıkma stratejilerinin incelenmesidir. Araştırmanın örneklemi Giresun İlinde ortaokul 6., 7. ve 8. Sınıfa devam eden 357 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır.Araştırmanın çalışma grubuna araştırmacının kendisinin ilettiği basılı formlar kullanılarak ulaşılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak kişisel bilgi formu, Ortaokul Öğrencileri İçin Okul Motivasyonu Ölçeği, Ergenler İçin İnternet Bağımlılığı Ölçeği ve Ergenler İçin Başa Çıkma Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubundan elde edilen veriler SPSS 26 paket programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Bu araştırmada 6., 7. ve 8.sınıfta okuyan öğrencilerin Motivasyon Düzeyleri, İnternet Bağımlılığı Düzeyleri ile Başa Çıkma Stratejileri arasındaki ilişki, betimsel tarama modelleri arasında yer alan ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılarak incelenmiştir. Öğrencilerin motivasyon, internet bağımlılığı ve başa çıkma stratejileri düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkiler korelasyonel ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılarak incelenmiştir. Öğrencilerin, motivasyon düzeylerinin demografik özelliklere göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığı incelemek için ise karşılaştırma türü ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır.Öğrencilerin Motivasyon Ölçeğinden aldığı puanlar arttıkça, öğrencilerin Aktif Başa Çıkma Alt Ölçeğinden aldıkları puanlarda artmakta, Olumsuz Başa Çıkma Alt Ölçeğinden aldıkları puanlarda düşmekte olduğu görülmüştür. Öğrencilerin Motivasyon Ölçeğinden aldığı puanlar arttıkça öğrencilerin İnternet Bağımlılığı Ölçeğinden aldıkları puanlarda düşmekte olduğu görülmüştür. Öğrencilerin sınıf düzeyi yükseldikçe ve internette geçirilen süre attıkça okul motivasyonu puanlarında düşme olduğu görülmüştür. Okul başarısını yüksek algılayan öğrencilerin motivasyon puanlarının daha yüksek olduğu görülmüştür.
The main purpose of this research is to examine the internet addiction levels and coping strategies of adolescents attending secondary school in school motivation. The sample of the research consists of 357 students attending the 6th, 7th and 8th grades of secondary school in the province of Giresun.The study group of the research was reached using the printed forms provided by the researcher herself. Personal information form, School Motivation Scale for Secondary School Students, Internet Addiction Scale for Adolescents and Coping Scale for Adolescents were used as data collection tools. The data obtained from the study group was analyzed using the SPSS 26 package program.In this study, the relationship between the Motivation Levels, Internet Addiction Levels and Coping Strategies of 6th, 7th and 8th grade students was examined using the relational scanning model, which is among the descriptive scanning models. The relationships between students' motivation, internet addiction and coping strategies level were examined using the correlational relational screening model. To examine whether students' motivation levels differ according to demographic characteristics, a comparison type relational screening model was used.It was observed that as the scores students received from the Motivation Scale increased, the scores they received from the Active Coping Subscale increased and the scores they received from the Negative Coping Subscale decreased. It was observed that as the scores students received from the Motivation Scale increased, the scores they received from the Internet Addiction Scale decreased. It has been observed that as students' grade level increases and the time spent on the internet increases, their school motivation scores decrease. It has been observed that students who perceive their school success as high have higher motivation scores.
