dc.description.abstract | Amaç: Bu pilot çalışmada, peri-implant mukozitisin mekaniktedavisine ilave olarak antienfektif tedavi yaklaşımıprensibi dahilinde klorheksidin içeren solüsyon ile cep irrigasyonuuygulamasının klinik olarak değerlendirilmesiamaçlandıGereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmaya en az bir yıldır fonksiyondaolan en az bir dental implantına peri-implant mukozitisteşhisi konmuş 20 hasta dahil edildi. Hastalar her grupta10 hasta olacak şekilde rastgele 2 gruba ayrıldı; bir grubayalnızca mekanik periodontal tedavi uygulanırken diğergruba mekanik tedaviye ilave olarak peri-implant oluğunklorheksidin solüsyon (%0,2) ile irrigasyonu gerçekleştirildi.Başlangıçta, 1. ve 3. aylarda doğal diş bölgelerindeplak indeks, gingival indeks, sondalama derinliği (SD)ve sondalamada kanama (SK); implant bölgelerinde isemodifiye plak indeks, modifiye sulkus kanama indeksi,SD, SK ölçüldü. İmplant bölgelerinden kağıt şeritleryardımıyla peri-implant oluk sıvısı (PİOS) toplandı ve Periotronile hacimleri belirlendi.Bulgular: Her iki grupta da diş ve implant bölgelerine aitklinik parametrelerin 1. ve 3. aylarda istatistiksel olarakanlamlı azalma gösterdiği tespit edildi (p<0,001). İki gruparasında klinik parametrelerde fark bulunmadı (p>0,05).Her iki grupta da PİOS hacminde 1. ve 3. aylarda istatistikselanlamlı azalma saptandı (p<0,001), ancak gruplararasında herhangi bir fark tespit edilmedi (p>0,05).Sonuç: Peri-implant mukozitisin tedavisinde uygulananmekanik tedavi ve mekanik tedaviye ilave klorheksidinirrigasyonu yaklaşımlarının klinik parametreler üzerindeolumlu etkilerinin olduğu ancak birbirine üstünlüğününbulunmadığı sonucuna varıldı. | |
dc.description.abstract | Aim: The aim of this pilot study was to evaluate the clinical_x000D_ efficacy of adjunctive chlorhexidine solution irrigation_x000D_ to mechanical treatment of peri-implant mucositis in accordance_x000D_ with the principle of anti-infective treatment._x000D_ Materials and Methods: Twenty patients with at least_x000D_ 1 dental implant, that has been functioning for at least_x000D_ 1 year and diagnosed with peri-implant mucositis were_x000D_ included to the study. Patients were randomly divided_x000D_ into 2 groups with 10 patients in each group; one group_x000D_ received only mechanical periodontal treatment, while_x000D_ the other was irrigated with chlorhexidine solution (0.2%)_x000D_ in addition to mechanical treatment. Plaque index, gingival_x000D_ index, probing depth (PD) and bleeding on probing_x000D_ (BOP) were measured from tooth sites; modified plaque_x000D_ index, modified sulcus bleeding index, PD, BOP were recorded_x000D_ from implant sites at baseline, 1st and 3rd months_x000D_ after treatment. Peri-implant crevicular fluid (PICF) was_x000D_ collected from the implant sites with paper strips at baseline, first and third months after treatment. PICF volumes_x000D_ were determined with Periotron._x000D_ Results: The clinical parameters of the tooth and implant_x000D_ sites in both groups showed significant reductions at 1st_x000D_ and 3rd months (p<0.001) without any difference between_x000D_ the groups (p>0.05). PICF volume decreased significantly_x000D_ in both groups at 1st and 3rd months (p<0.001),_x000D_ however, no difference was found between the groups_x000D_ (p>0.05)._x000D_ Conclusion: It was concluded that mechanical treatment_x000D_ and chlorhexidine irrigation adjunct to mechanical treatment_x000D_ have positive effects on clinical parameters in the_x000D_ treatment of peri-implant mucositis but none of them is_x000D_ superior to another. | |
