dc.description.abstract15 Temmuz 2016 Darbe Girişimi her yönüyle Türkiye Cumhuriyeti tarihinin önemli dönüm noktalarından biridir. Askeri cuntaya karşı sivil vatandaşların nasıl organize oldukları, darbe karşıtı mesajları hangi kanalları kullanarak ilettikleri ve eşgüdümlü olarak nasıl hareket ettikleri gerek Türkiye gerekse dünyanın diğer ülkelerindeki sivil siyaset kurumları için değerli bir örnek niteliğindedir. Bu çalışmada Türkiye'de ve dünyada darbeler ve toplumsal hareketler zemininde 15 Temmuz Darbe Girişimi'nin iletişim teknolojileri bağlamında incelenmesi ve geçmiş örneklere kıyasla değişen teknolojinin darbenin önlenmesinde nasıl etkili biçimde kullandığının tespit edilmesi amaçlanmaktadır.
dc.description.abstractThe coup d'etat attempt of 15 July 2016 represents one of the turning points in the history of the Turkish Republic. The civilians organized against the military in conveying the anti-coup message and their coordinated response present a valuable example to be analysed for the political institutions both in Turkey and in other countries. This paper aims at investigating the coup attempt of July 15 from the vantage point of the use of communication technologies in mobilizing people. It illustrates that technological advances have been successfully administered in resistance against the military coup in comparison to the past examples of military coups and social developments in Turkey and the world.
