Ömer Seyfettin'in eserlerinde sosyal ve siyasi meseleler

Abstract

Bu tezde Ömer Seyfettin’in eserlerine yansıyan sosyal ve siyasi meseleler konu olarak alınmıştır. Ömer Seyfettin Türk hikâyesinin önemli isimlerinden biridir. Hikâye tekniği olarak Maupassant tarzı hikâyeyi benimsemiştir. Türk tarihinin sancılı bir döneminde yaşamış; Trablusgarp, Balkan ve I. Dünya Savaşı’na tanık olmuş; meseleleri hem asker hem de yazar kimliğiyle değerlendirmiştir. Yaşadığı ve tanık olduğu sosyal ve siyasi meseleler hikâyelerine geniş ölçüde aksetmiştir. Kadın, eğitim, hukuk, inançlar, ekonomik meseleler, toplumsal yozlaşma, II. Meşrutiyet, savaşlar ve sebep olduğu olaylar, fikir akımları, Osmanlıcılık meselesi, nesil çatışması, Doğu- Batı çatışmasını hikâyelerinde kendine has bir perspektifte yansıtma yoluna gitmiştir. Bu tezden şu sonuç ortaya çıkmıştır: Ömer Seyfettin, yaşadığı dönemin hiçbir sosyal ve siyasi meselesine kayıtsız kalmamış, hepsini eserlerinde işlemeye çalışmıştır.

In this thesis, social and political issues reflected in the works of Ömer Seyfettin were taken as the subject. Ömer Seyfettin is one of the important names of the Turkish story. He adopted the Maupassant style story as his story technique. He lived in a painful period of Turkish history; Tripoli witnessed the Balkan and World War I; He evaluated the issues both as a soldier and as a writer. The social and political issues he lived and witnessed were widely reflected in his stories. Women, education, law, beliefs, economic issues, social corruption. He tried to reflect the constitutionalism, the wars and the events it caused, the currents of thought, the issue of Ottomanism, the conflict of generations, the conflict between East and West in his stories in a unique perspective. The following conclusion emerged from this thesis: Ömer Seyfettin did not remain indifferent to any of the social and political issues of the period he lived in and tried to process all of them in his works.
