Abstract
Borsa İstanbul Sürdürülebilirlik Endeksi'nin 2014 yılından itibaren yayınlanması Türkiye'de sürdürülebilir kalkınmayı hedefleyen işletmeler açısından önemli bir gelişmedir. Platform, Türkiye'de kurumsal sürdürülebilir raporlama ve sürdürülebilir muhasebe unsurlarının gelişimine katkıda bulunmaktadır. Bu noktadan hareketle araştırma, endeksin ilk uygulamasında yer alan işletmelerin geçmişe yönelik sürdürülebilirlik raporlarının bulunma durumu ve yayınlanma süreleri ile raporlarda endekse verdikleri referansları ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Endekste yer alan işletmelerin tümünün hazırladıkları raporlarda veya kurumsal internet sitelerinde Borsa İstanbul Sürdürülebilirlik Endeksi'ne atıfta bulunarak kurumsal başarı odaklı veya endeksi tanıtmaya odaklı açıklamalar yaptıkları görülmüştür. Ayrıca Kurumsal Sürdürülebilirlik Endeksi kapsamındaki işletmelerin 2007 yılından itibaren %67'sinin en az bir defa, %46'sının ise 6 veya daha fazla yıl Borsa İstanbul Kurumsal Yönetim Endeksi kapsamına girdiği görülmektedir.
The Borsa Istanbul Sustainability Index published since 2014 is an important improvement for the entities which is aimed sustainable development. That platform has contributed to the development of sustainable corporate sustainability reporting and sustainable accounting in Turkey. From this point the research aimed that retrospective Sustainability Reports existence conditi1 * Marmara Üniversitesi, İşletme Fakültesi, İşletme Bölümü, Öğretim Üyesi** on, releasing period and Sustainability Index references given in the reports of the entities within the context of the first Index application. We have seen that the entities within the context of Borsa Istanbul Sustainability Index focused in their disclosures on corporate success or recognition of Index in all reports or corporate web sites. In addition, 67% of the entities within the scope of Corporate Sustainability Index are at least once, while 46% of the entities six or more years seems within the scope of the Borsa Istanbul Corporate Governance Index since 2007.
