Abstract
Amaç: Araştırma 1-3 yaş arası Serebral Palsi(SP)’li çocuğu olan annelerin öz yeterlilik ve sosyal destek düzeyinin bakım yükü üzerine etkisini değerlendirmek amacıyla gerçeklestirildi. Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırma, 1 Mart 2019- 31 Ağustos 2019 tarihleri arasında İstanbul ili Avrupa yakasında bir eğitim ve araştırma hastanesinde yapıldı. Örneklemi fizik tedavi polikliniği ile çocuk sağlığı ve hastalıkları kliniğine başvuran/yatan 1-3 yaş arası SP’li çocuğu olan anneler oluşturdu. Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Anne Babalık Becerilerinde Öz Yeterlilik Ölçeği (ABBÖYÖ), Çok Boyutlu Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği (ÇBASDÖ) ve Bakım Verme Yükü Ölçeği (BVYÖ) ile veriler toplandı. İstatistiksel analizler ve hesaplamalar için SPSS version 22 yazılımı kullanıldı. Bulgular: Araştırmada SP’li çocukların yaş ortalamasının 24,62±8,54 ay ve %50,3’ünün erkek olduğu, %63,1’inin özel eğitim aldığı görüldü. Çocukların %85,0’inin Spastik SP’li ve Spastik SP’li çocukların %69,2’sinin hemiplejik tutulum gösterdiği saptandı. Çalışmaya alınan annelerin yaş ortalamasının 31±5,77, %37,4’ünün lise mezunu, %96,3’ünün evli ve % 80,7’sinin ev hanımı olduğu saptandı. Annelerin ölçeklerden aldığı toplam puan ortalamalarının ABBÖYÖ için 183,23±37,11, ÇBASDÖ için 41,90±25,61 ve BVYÖ için 42,38±14,38 olduğu görüldü. BVYÖ’nin toplam puanı ile hem ABBÖYÖ’nin (r=-0,332 ile -0,548 arasında) hem de ÇBASDÖ’nin (r=-0,495 ile -0,612 arasında) toplam ve alt boyutlarının puanları arasında negatif yönlü orta düzeyde anlamlı ilişki olduğu belirlendi (p=0,000). Sonuç: Annelerin bakım yükü puanının 42.38 + 14.38, öz yeterliliklerinin yüksek, sosyal destek düzeylerinin düşük olduğu belirlendi. Ayrıca annelerin öz yeterlilik ve sosyal destekleri arttıkça bakım yüklerinin azaldığı sonucuna varıldı. SP’li çocuğu olan annelerin öz yeterlilik ve sosyal desteklerinin arttırılmasına yönelik hemşirelik girişimleri uygulanması önerildi.--------------------Objective: The study was carried out to determine the effect of self-efficacy and social support level on care burden of mothers with 1-3 years old children who have cerebral palsy (CP).Materials and Methods: The research was conducted between March 1, 2019 and August 31, 2019 in a training and research hospital on the European side of Istanbul. The sample consisted of mothers with children with CP between 1-3 years old who applied to/ took inpatient treatment at the pyhsical therapy clinic and pediatric clinic. Data were collected with Personal Information Form, The Self Efficacy for Parenting Tasks Index-Toddler Scale(SEPTI-TS), Perceived Social Support Scale(PSSS), and Burden Interview(BI). SPSS 22 software was used for statistical analysis and calculations. Results: It was seen that the average age of children with CP was 24.62+8.54 months and 50.3% were male and 63.1% had special education. 85.0% of children had Spastic CP and 69.2% of children with Spastic CP had hemiplegic involvement. The average age of the mothers included in the study was 31+5.77, 37.4% were high school graduates, 96.3% were married and 80.7% were housewives. It was seen that the total average scores of the mothers were 183.23 + 37.11 for the SEPTI-TS, 41,90 + 25.61 for the MSPSS and 42.38 + 14.38 for the BI. It was determined that there was a significant negative correlation (p = 0,000) between the total score of BI and the scores of both SEPTI-TS (r =-0.3332 and -.548) and MSPSS (r = -0.495 and -0.612).Conclusion: It was determined that the mothers' burden of care was 42.38 + 14.38, their self-efficacy was high and their social perceptions were low. In addition, it was found that mothers' burden of care decreases with increasing self-efficacy and social support. It was suggested that nursing interventions to increase self-efficacy and social support of mother who have children with CP were recommended.
