dc.description.abstractÖZETÇalışmamızda tarih-edebiyat ilişkisi, Osmanlı’dan demokratik Türkiye’ye uzanan süreçte Osmanlı’ya bakışta oluşan değişmeler gibi meseleler, imparatorluğun 1871-1960 yılları arasında yayımlanmış romanlara aksi ekseninde incelenmiştir. “Giriş” bölümünde romanın tarih-roman münasebetinin başlangıcı, Türkiye’deki serüveni gibi hususlar hakkında bilgiler verilmiş, ayrıca incelediğimiz eserler, roman türünün dört temel unsuru olan “Olay Örgüsü”, “Şahıslar”, “Zaman” ve “Mekân” etrafında genel olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Böylelikle çalışmanın belirli bir zemin üzerine inşası sağlanmıştır. Cumhuriyet öncesi, Atatürk Türkiye’si, Atatürk’ün ölümünden 1950’lere uzanan süreç ve demokratik Türkiye yılları, çalışmamızın dört ana bölümünü teşkil etmektedir. Her bölüm öncesinde söz konusu süreçlerin genel siyasî manzarası çizilmiş, romandaki Osmanlı imajlarının nasıl bir ortamda vücuda geldiği ortaya konulmuştur. Ardından ana bölümlere dahil olan eserler, romandaki Osmanlı’nın temel unsurları olarak belirlediğimiz “Hanedan Üyesi,” “Devlet Adamları”, “Harem” ve “Din Adamları başlıklarında incelenmiştir. SUMMARY In our study, some issues such as the relationship between history and literature, the changements occurring in Ottoman view in the process ranging from the Ottoman period to the Democratic Turkey have been examined on the adverse axis of the novels published between 1871 and 1960 years of the Empire. In the ‘Introductory’ chapter, some information have been given about the beginning of history-novel relationship in novels, adventure of them in Turkey, besides, the novels we inspected have been evaluated generally around the four basic elements of novel type as ‘Plot’, ‘Person’, ‘Time’ and ‘Place’. Thus, the building of thesis on a certain background has been provided. Our thesis comprises of four main sections; Pre-republic, Atatürk’s Turkey, the process ranging from Atatürk’s death to 1950s and Democratic Turkey years. Before each section, the processes as mentioned have been handled in the view of general politics, thus, what kind of an environment provided Ottoman images in the novel to occur have been presented. Then, the novels which were included in the main sections have been eamined in the four basic titles that we determined as ‘Dynasty Member’, ‘Statesmen’, ‘Hareem’, and ‘Reverends’.
