Abstract
ÖZETHerat Mûsikî Ekolü, 15.yy’da Orta Asya’da hüküm sürmüş olan Timurlu devletinin sanat hâmileri öncülüğünde gelişmiş ve özellikle Osmanlı/Türk mûsikîsi tarihi literatüründe yeri olan, önemli bir sanat hareketi olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Orta Asya coğrafyasının çok geniş olan kültürel etkileşim alanı sebebiyle, form, makam ve usûl anlayışı açısından pek çok kültürden etkilenmiş, bu anlayışları kendi kültürü içerisinde değerlendirerek geliştirmiş ve daha sonra pek çok kültürü etkilemiş olan ve kendinden sonra, özellikle Osmanlı coğrafyasında okunup şerhleri yapılan risâlelerin kaleme alındığı bir mûsikî akımıdır. Bu risâlelerin en önemlilerinden biri, Benâî’nin Rîsâle-i Mûsikî adlı eseridir. Bu tez, Herat Mûsikî Ekolü’nün tanımı ve sınırlarını, tarihî, felsefî, sosyal ve kültürel bir perspektiften, makam müziği tarihi, metodolojisi ve müzik-bilim içerisindeki önemini ve Herat Mûsikî Ekolü’ne dahil olan, Benâî’nin Risâle-i Mûsikî adlı eserinin, makam müziği nazariyesine katkılarını ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır.SUMMARYHerat School of Music emerges as an important art movement that developed in the lead of art sponsors of the Timurid Empire that prevailed during 15th century in Central Asia and that has a place in the literature of Ottoman/Turkish music history. Due to the immense cultural interaction area of the Central Asia, it is a music movement that was influenced by quite a few cultures in terms of form, maqam and usul(rhythm), that improved these insights through processing them within its own culture and subsequently influencing many other cultures, and that led to treatises which were read and annotated in the Ottoman territories. One of the very important treatises is Benâî's Risâle-i Mûsikî. This dissertation aims to put forth the definition and limitations of the Herat Music School, its importance in maqam music, methodology and musicology from a historical, philosophical and cultural perspective, and the contrubiton of Benâî's Risâle-i Mûsikî, which is included in the Herat Music School, to the maqam music theory.
